Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice Newest Teaser Shows a Furious Man of Steel Unmasking the Dark Knight, More Details

Bruce Wayne’s best-kept secret is finally out in the latest teaser for Warner Bros.’ upcoming film “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

The latest teaser shows a glimpse of the conflict between Superman and Batman. The 50-second clip did not have any dialogue and perhaps it didn’t require any to feel the rising tension between the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight.

The clip opens with Batman, played by Ben Affleck, in chains along with two prisoners as Superman, played by Henry Cavill, flies into the bunker, storms past an armed guard before pulling off Batman’s mask.

The two superheroes then stare at each other as Superman drops the Bat-mask. The clip ends dramatically with a black screen.

Comic Book reports that the teaser was first aired on November 30 during an advertisement break for the DC TV series and Batman spinoff, “Gotham.” The full version of the trailer was eventually unveiled on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on December 2.

The teaser was definitely something to talk about as it shows the two superheroes finally coming face to face, and also the dark side of Superman. How the pair got to that point in the teaser is a question only the film can answer.

International Business Times notes that Cavill’s Superman might either be a God or a threat to earth. For one, the guards guarding Batman in the cell bowed before him.

The identity of the other prisoners held captive along with Batman is also a mystery that fans want to figure out. Reports say that the two are other villains from the DC universe. Fans suggest that those are heroes who go with Batman’s side in the Justice League.

Lastly, the intense moment of the video is when a furious Superman unmasks a helpless Batman revealing Bruce Wayne.

This pivotal moment should transcend in the film as Lex Luthor was originally the one who discovered Batman’s identity in the original source.

Along with the trailer, Amazon has also revealed the newest promo art for the film’s companion books.

The promo art features the upcoming film’s titular heroes leaping in action. The books are set to be released next year possibly before the film’s premiere.

Mirror reports that Affleck has been feeling the pressure for his role and admitted that it would be extremely disappointing if people won’t like his performance.

The 43-year-old actor knows that there will be criticisms on his portrayal, but what he likes to leave fans is the satisfaction of doing the iconic superhero justice.

Cavill, having played the hero from Krypton two years ago, feels pressure as well, especially when “Man of Steel” did not meet the studio’s expectation when it came to fan reception.

Deadline reports that the upcoming superhero film will pick up from where 2013’s “Man of Steel” left off. Snyder and Goyer stated that the film will take inspiration from the Batman series “The Dark Knight Returns” by Frank Miller.

Batman will confront Clark Kent’s superhero alter ego because of his unchecked power. Lex Luthor, on the other hand, crafts a plan of his own which will foster conflict between the world’s finest that leads to the formation of the Justice League.

Directed by Zack Snyder, “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” was first announced during the San Diego ComicCon 2013 and it will come out on March 25, 2016, in 2D, 3D, and IMAX.

It stars Affleck, Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Tao Okamoto as Luthor’s bodyguard Mercy Graves, Jeremy Irons as Batman’s butler Alfred, and Holly Hunter as US Senator Finch.

“Man of Steel” cast Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will be reprising their roles for the film as Lois Lane, Perry White, and Martha Kent, respectively.

The film will also serve as the first theatrical film live-action portrayal of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Cyborg.
