There have been various rumors surrounding the cast of “19 Kids and Counting”, particularly Josh Duggar and his wife Anna. The most recent speculation about the two pointed towards the possibility of them divorcing, after Anna had apparently had enough of the whole drama in her life. But now, a new development has emerged and it looks like things might be moving in a more positive direction, as it’s reported that Josh Duggar had made a suggestion that the two of them should renew their wedding vows, and Anna had apparently agreed to that.
There have been various conflicting opinions surrounding the situation of the couple, and some are claiming that Anna should have never divorced her husband in the first place, as that contradicted with certain moral values that she was supposed to be upholding. On the other hand, the behavior of Josh Duggar was without doubt reprehensible and highly controversial in itself, so many people could clearly see where Anna was coming from and why she wanted to move forward in this way.
In any case, if they really are considering a renewal of their vows, then this could indicate that things are getting back to normal between the couple and that we might soon hear about a more positive development in their relationship.
There are also reports that Josh has been undergoing therapy in order to address his issues and he’s been making progress, although we don’t know if he will ever change from the personality that got him in so much trouble in the first place. It’s of course possible that the therapy could have a positive impact on him, but he must want this change to happen in the first place, and right now we have certain reasons to doubt that he’s looking in that direction with enough seriousness.
Josh has apparently been hopeful that the act of renewing his wedding vows with his wife could have a positive effect on their relationship and help them get back together, and in the end he seems to be aiming to get his marriage back on track and put all the negativity behind him. Knowing just how much drama there was in the press about his actions though, it’s hard to say if he will ever be able to get away from all the negative sentiments about him, even if he did manage to recover his marriage.
Meanwhile, there have also been reports that “19 Kids and Counting” itself could find its way back to the screen despite the huge controversy that originally led to the show’s cancellation. It’s not clear if the network is really considering this move on a more serious level but there are reports that if the new spin-off called “Jill & Jessa: Counting On” is successful, this will have a positive impact on the future of the original and the network really could take a second look at the option of reviving the show.
There seems to be a divide of opinions in the community of people who originally followed the production with regards to the idea of bringing it back. On one hand, some people apparently believe that the show really does have the potential to succeed if the negativity around it is addressed in the public space, but on the other hand there are also those who are convinced that the bad press that came from the controversy will prevent this show from ever being truly successful again.
