Fast and Furious 8 Spoilers, News, Rumors And Other Announcements!

We all know that Fast and Furious will never be the same with Paul Walker. However, when you stand back and take a look at how successful the movie series has been, there is very little that will change the massive following that they have created over the years. Fast and Furious started back in 2001 and has brought along six sequels and three short films that have tied everything together over the last fourteen years. According to Universal, Fast and Furious franchise became the companies biggest franchise of all time on May of this year.

The Fast and the Furious was the first movie and it centered around illegal street racing and heists, which brought in a very young crowd of loyal fans from all over the world. Furious 7 was the latest film to be released and is the last one that one of the main characters was featured in. Paul Walker, who was with the series since the start, was killed in a car accident that happened while he was still filming the movie.

The Fast and Furious fans were devastated and of course, the production had to figure out what to do with the film since it was not completed at that time. Universal put the brakes on the film at that point stating that it wanted to talk things over with the family of Paul Walker before deciding where to go with the film. There are lawsuits that are still pending due to the death, but even as that is happening, the series has continued.

Vin Diesel has a major role in the success of the movie series being the producer of many of them, as well as the creative mind steering where the movie will go next. With all of the Paul Walker sadness out of the way, fans want to know when they are going to be able to see the Fast and Furious 8 movie and who is going to be in it. According to at least one source, Vin Diesel has made comments about the fact that he would like to see Helen Mirren join the cast.

As you can imagine, that would bring another, different perspective to the movies, but few think that Mirren would be a bad choice to add knowing her acting chops. That interview was with MTV last month where fans were asking questions mainly about the next three movies. Vin Diesel did a great job of diverting the attention of fans to the casting and not answering those types of questions at all. In the wake of the new movie and the last few coming down the line, Diesel also announced there would be spin-offs coming as well.
