There have been reports of people having issues with the performance of “Diablo 3” on their machines running AMD video cards, and thankfully the company has taken notice of the situation and their engineers have been working hard to rectify the issue and make the game smooth for their fans once again. People have been reporting issues left and right and it looks like AMD have been trying quite a lot to understand where the problems were coming from and what was causing the performance drops and crashes. According to the company, this constant feedback from their fans has been of huge help in the development of their new drivers.
Now, with the latest Crimson drivers, gamers should once again have a chance to experience the game to its fullest without having to worry about losing their progress to a technical glitch. In addition to “Diablo 3”, the new patch for AMD cards also addresses issues with another game, “GTA 5”, and even though complaints about the latter title have been arguably lower, they were definitely there.
The new Crimson drivers are actually quite nicely developed and add lots of features to the user’s disposal, allowing gamers to fine-tune their experience very precisely and to really get the most out of their games. The special drivers come with precise adjustments that allow the software to truly get the most out of its hardware, and at the same time it has improved support for DirectX from 9 to 11. Last but not least, these drivers also work on Ubuntu 15.04, according to reports, giving Linux gamers some much-needed love.
Meanwhile, it looks like the hype about “Fallout 4” has managed to spread across gaming studios and not just gamers, as Blizzard have reportedly managed to slip a little easter egg related to the game in their newest patch for “Diablo 3”, 2.4. The patch is currently undergoing some testing, and players have already noticed a peculiar special item in it – Boyarsky’s Chip, a special Legendary gem that players can craft into their socketed weapons.
The chip’s description talks about an underground vault discovered by old man Boyarsky, and reflects damage to attackers, as well as a Taunt for the primary skill of the player. And last but not least, the description of the gem ends with “it will never fall out”, so if the various details about the gem were not clear enough, that should really drive the point home.
“Fallout 4” will probably get referenced quite a lot in both games as well as other forms of media in the near future, and the game managed to cause quite the stir when it came out, and even before that. Many people were patiently waiting for Bethesda to say anything about the title, and after so much silence it was definitely good to see that it was not only real, but it was just as good as people had been hoping for, if not even better.
Sure, it had its problems, but that could be said for every game in the franchise. “Fallout 4” definitely managed to improve the gameplay of the franchise in many directions and by a very large margin though, and the game’s effects on the market are undisputable. We are curious to see what Bethesda are planning in the form of DLC in the future, and there will likely be some interesting additions sooner or later.
