Motorola Moto X Pure Edition Gets Closer to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Moto G 2014 to Get It This Year, And More!

Motorola have started rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for their devices, and owners of different phones will have to wait varying periods of time to get the new software on their own handhelds. So far, we know about the rough schedule of the company for some of their devices, and while the situation is not that clear with all phones, it’s at least good to see that Motorola are planning to keep all of their users up to date with the latest version of Android.

The Moto X Pure Edition is getting closer to receiving the update, but it’s not clear when exactly it’s going to be released for it. According to reports, Motorola don’t treat the device with the highest priority in the update pipeline, and its owners might have to wait a little longer before they get the new software. On the other hand, it could come with some small improvements for the device, but this has been a minor rumor without much backing up.

According to some reports, the device could be updated as early as this month, but considering that the month is almost over and there is no update in sight, people have been skeptical of this suggestion. The most likely timeline for the moment is that the device could get the update early next year, although that would be too far away for some of its owners. This also aligns with the official statements from Motorola themselves.

On the other hand, it’s also possible that the custom ROM community could come up with a specialized solution for the device before Motorola have released their own update, so those who want to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow on their phones as early as possible might have a light at the end of the tunnel.

There are also reports about the Moto G 2014 edition, and it’s claimed that the device is going to get its update during this year. Reports indicate that the rollout for the update has already started for some users, but it could be a slow process that takes a while to reach all owners of the device, so we don’t know when different users are going to get their own devices updated.

It would definitely be good for Moto G owners to see Android 6.0, at least if it’s implemented properly, as there have been lots of complaints about the device ever since it got upgraded to Android 5.1. Users have been making various comments about the device’s performance and the state of its operating system, and hopefully the new 6.0 update is going to address those problems and bring it back to a more usable state. Of course, this depends on how well Motorola are going to implement the update for the specific device. Android updates are typically customized slightly for their own respective devices, and this is also an important factor in how well they work.

All in all, different Motorola devices are going to get the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow at different points in time, but at least the company is determined to get the new version out to as many people as possible. In contrast to some other companies which have shown a less caring attitude for the new OS version, it’s good to see that Motorola care so much about their fans and want to make everyone happy. As we said above though, this will also require them to carefully develop the update properly for their own devices.
