Although she is a regular fixture of Mexican telenovelas, Angelique Boyer is actually French by birth and nationality.
For some reason last month, the “Lo Que La Vida Me Robo” star aired her grievance on social media after she was recently discriminated in France for being proud of her Mexican roots.
Angelique Boyer wrote on her Facebook account that she was in the country where she was born and she felt that she was a foreigner there. While she did not disclose how she was discriminated in her country of birth, she added in her post that she is proud to be a foreigner in France and that she even said to some French people that she was not from there, details the Latin Times.
Angelique is half French but since growing up in Mexico and appearing in many Mexican telenovelas, she often quips that she is proud to be a Mexican and she always treasure Mexico and the Mexicans more than ever.
A supportive lover
Sebastian Rulli, who is the boyfriend of Angelique Boyer, openly expressed his support to his girl in light of the culture shock that she recently got a taste of in her home country of France.
Sebastian said that Angelique may have encountered people that may have different characteristics and talks differently because they have different education, so culture shock sometimes happens.
The actor says that he also feels the same as his girlfriend does about Mexico and the Mexicans despite being an Argentinian himself. He says he loves being in Mexico and he loves the country so much.
When asked how he sees his future with Angelique is going to be, Sebastian said that he is open to anything but just like any other man who is in love, he would like to have a baby in the equation in the near future.
Rulli also said that he would be very happy if there will be a family union in the future of their relationship and that he is leaving everything to God in the hope that his wish of a happy marriage with Angelique would eventually happen someday.
Paving the way for the relationship
More than a year and a half as a couple, the relationship of telenovela stars Angelique Boyer and Sebastian Rulli appears to be getting stronger.
With the reports that both of them are going to star in the remake of “Lazos De Amor” by Angelli Nesma, Angelique Boyer and Sebastian Rulli are expected to take their real-life romance to the small screen once again when it debuts in Mexican television next year.
In a recent tell-all interview with Televisa producer Jose Alberto Castro, he disclosed that the relationship of Angelique and Sebastian meant two things for him. He and Angelique used to be a couple for three years until they broke up in March 2014.
Castro says that he has no hard feelings towards Angelique because he believes that the most beautiful thing in life is when a person wakes up without owing anything to anybody as it meant peace, details the Latin Times in another report.
He was the one who actually made Angelique Boyer a star when he produced the telenovela “Teresa.” Ironically, it was also in the same TV series that Angelique first came in close contact with Sebastian Rulli.
So when he learned later that after their breakup that Sebastian started dating Angelique, he really felt bad and has severed his friendship with the 40-year-old actor. While he and Angelique were no longer a couple when Sebastian came into the picture, Castro still feels betrayed.
But he does not bash Angelique in interviews or in any statement at all, even saying that he would really consider working with her again in the future because Angelique is a person that has a lot of potentials to make a great career. He adds that his former lover has the chops and a great interpretative range in acting.
