‘Clash of Clans’ Developer Says New Updates to Bring Quality-of-Life Changes to Gamers!

The successful holding of the ClashCon 2015 in Helsinki, Finland on October 24 was highlighted by the preview of the upcoming update to the world’s most popular freemium mobile massively multiplayer online strategy video game “Clash of Clans” by its Finnish developer Supercell.

Supercell actually gave a sneak peek of Town Hall Level 11 and some other features that shall come with the next update of “Clash of Clans.”

The Town Hall Level 11 is a new defensive building and it will come with the updates along with a new hero, and an expansion to the gamer base layout. There are still other surprises, but it seems that Supercell wants to keep it under wraps for now, notes Gamezone.

Supercell appears to be intentionally vague with the upcoming updates, but it did say that the updates are part of an effort to make quality-of-life changes that aim to improve how everyone plays “Clash of Clans” every single day, details Touch Arcade.

Apparently, it is the developer’s response to complaints by some gamers that the upcoming updates of “Clash of Clans” are meant only for the well-moneyed fanatics and gamers of the popular mobile video game. Obviously, the updates are meant for every gamer of “Clash of Clans,” regardless of their stature in life.

Needs more time to roll out the updates

Last week, Supercell announced that it would take them a couple more weeks until they can roll out the next updates to “Clash of Clans” but they will release additional information about it once they have the right material.

On November 13, Supercell revealed some information about the upcoming updates including changes to Shields and the addition of the new ‘Village Guard’ concept.

Session timers and the Personal Breaks will also be changed as well as the Multiplayer Matchmaking, League Bonuses, and the High-Level Trophy calculations.

Supercell said that they are taking the time to unravel the updates because they want to make sure that the upcoming changes are well-tested and well-balanced as much as possible.

As a sort of concession to the anxiously waiting gamers of “CoC,” Supercell is going to kick-off a two-week sneak peek schedule starting on the week of November 23 to get every gamer on the conversation.

Accordingly, the planned topics include Shields first and foremost, to be divided into two parts with Part I about attacking and defending, while Part 2 would be about the Village Guard and the Personal Breaks. Supercell would also put up for gamer discussion the changes in the Matchmaking, the Trophy Offers, the League Bonuses, and all the other features of the upcoming updates.

Rewarding gamers for unrelenting enthusiasm

Notwithstanding the unrelenting enthusiasm of gamers towards “CoC,” Supercell wants to give its fans and players a new gaming experience, which the new updates are sure to bring.

Supercell is now in the process of updating the “CoC” forums too. Marika Appel, the Supercell community manager, said that the fanbase of “Clash of Clans” is certainly genuine and very dedicated. She added that the reception of “CoC” has continued to surprise them and Supercell wants to feel that it is because of their support that resulted to the immense popularity of the mobile video game.

She said that apart from the minor changes in the gameplay, Supercell has also started a thread recently in the game forum called the ‘Ideas and Request’ section which is open to all fans and gamers who are interested in giving out suggestions for a better gaming experience with “Clash of Clans.”

Clash of Clans

A recent report indicates that gamers have been spending less time playing mobile video games this year compared to last year, and that holds particularly true for the No. 1 mobile video game, “Clash of Clans.”

According to the report, mobile device users last year spent 32% of their time playing mobile video games but the number has dropped to 15% this year. While there is still a month and a half left before 2015 draws to a close, it is likely that the percentage would remain generally stable.
