Apple iPad Mini 4 Makes the Most of iOS 9 to Become the Ideal Travel Gadget!

The Apple iPad Pro and the iPad mini 4 were simultaneously launched along with the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus on September 9.

While the iPad mini 4 has already made its way to the retail markets a few weeks after its launched, the iPad Pro has only started hitting retail stores this month.

Notwithstanding the size of the iPad Pro and its functionality, many users who have bought the iPad mini 4 felt that they do not need another giant tablet because the smaller device would suffice for them.

Apparently, the Apple iPad mini 4 makes the most of the iOS 9 to go with a number of welcome upgrades from its predecessor, the iPad mini 3, notes C/Net.

The latest Apple mini-tablet has added a faster A8 processor, better cameras, a more vivid Retina display, slightly thinner design, and the ability to run split-screen apps in iOS 9.

In terms of function, it can actually do what the larger iPads are capable of doing since it is basically a compact version of the iPad Air 2. Although smartphones have grown larger and laptops have gotten more versatile, the Apple iPad mini 4 has become so functional, it actually makes for an ideal travel gadget for a workaholic on the go.

The iOS 9 has certainly raised the functionality of the Apple tablets allowing for superior user experience.

The downsides

The 7.9-inch Apple iPad mini 4 is a lot more expensive than most 8-inch tablets in the market today. In fact, its rather prohibitive price is actually pushing interested consumers to go for the larger iPads or tablets instead.

In addition, although it can run split-screen apps, multitasking on the iPad mini 4 is not as useful as in the larger iPad Air 2.

While it has a faster A8 processor, it is still a step slower compared to the other iPads and the new iPhones. Apple has also sacrificed the battery life of the mini-tablet in exchange for most of the upgrades to the device.

The iPad mini 4 has the same processor as the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, and the same storage options of 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB. But there is no expandable storage option because there is no provision for microSD card.

The diminutive little brother is perfect

One user-reviewer explained his previous preference for the iPad Pro, calling it as the tablet of his dreams. However, after trying out that iPad Pro’s diminutive little brother in the iPad mini 4, he realized that it is the perfect tablet for him, reports Cult of Mac.

The Apple iPad mini 4 is super portable and it is super light too at only 0.65 of a pound, compared to iPad Pro’s 1.57-pound weight.

Compared to the price of the iPad mini 3, the iPad mini 4 offers a stellar deal and is also $100 cheaper than its predecessor.

Apart from being thinner than the iPhone 6S, the iPad mini 4 is just as good as the iPad Air 2 and its screen size is just perfect.

Perhaps in a few years, the iPad Pro will become an everyday device for most users but for the time being, Apple’s giant tablet seems perfect for graphic artists, designers, and workers on the go. The iPad Pro may be the best tablet that the American tech giant has created thus far, but the iPad mini 4 is the most practical one ever.

The iPad mini 4 also features an anti-reflective screen coating that makes it quite ideal for watching movies, playing games, as well as reading or writing while on the go.

Before Apple iPad mini 4 came out of the market with its given retail price, the price of the iPad mini 3 typically dropped significantly. Critics believe that discounted price on the iPad mini 3 would be for the long haul because otherwise, the future sales of the predecessor would be cannibalized by the iPad mini 4.
