In addition to announcing the release date of the highly-anticipated “Persona 5” during the 2015 Tokyo Game Show held on September 17 to 18, game director Katsura Hashino also disclosed a new feature of the role-playing game shown through its gameplay trailer.

Hashino also said that he and game development company Atlus were quite happy with the gamer reception for the trailer of “Persona 5” shown during the 2015 Tokyo Game Show.
Atlus has changed the release date for “Persona 5” from late this year to the summer of 2016 on the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4.
Just like in the previous iterations of the game, “Persona 5” focuses on a group of four high school students who all have the ability to interact with the paranormal world. They are students by day and phantom thieves at night. But they are good thieves and they are always being chased by the game’s antagonists.
Together with a talking cat named Morgana, they embark on their mission every night in light of various challenges that come their way.
Accordingly, the game’s personas are based on iconic thieves in pop culture and history such as Goemon Ishikawa and Arsene Lupin, among others.
More new game features
Based on its gameplay trailer, “Persona 5” will have a few more new game features, most notably the Sneak, the All-Out Attack, and the Cooperation.
As its name implies, Sneak shall allow gamers to sneak around obstacles and enemy units in the dungeon area. All-Out Attack enables the players to team up and battle enemy units. Cooperation is the game’s social link, details Yibada.
But “Persona 5” will also feature other objectives or activities outside of the dungeon including going to school, riding on subways, playing baseball, and also using phone apps and social media sites to find friends and enemy targets.
The idea is to give gamers the opportunity to experience big city life within “Persona 5” just like the predecessor games while incorporating some new elements and activities to make the sequel more interesting.
