Josh Duggar, the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle, is considered by many fans as the singular reason for the cancellation of the American family reality show “19 Kids and Counting” by the TLC network in July this year.
“19 Kids and Counting” was initially suspended by the network in May when the molestation scandal during the teenage years of Josh Duggar started coming out in public. TLC subsequently decided to cancel the show for good less than two months later.
The popular TV series was cancelled without completing its seventh season, much to the chagrin of its loyal viewers.
It was actually the ghost of Josh Duggar’s past that haunted him which caused him and his family the lucrative “19 Kids and Counting” reality show.
However, it seems that it was not only his past that seems to be troubling him because shortly after the show was cancelled by TLC, Josh Duggar made a revelation that he also cheated on his wife Anna while she was pregnant with their fourth child.
He admitted to cheating on his wife with an adult film star and also for having multiple social media dating accounts. Shortly thereafter, Josh was admitted in a rehab facility.
A doting father and grandfather
As the doting father and grandfather that he is, reports have it that Jim Bob recently gifted Josh and Anna Duggar a new brick home worth $345,000 not for anything but to save the couple’s marriage, details the Inquisitr.
After the admission of Josh that he cheated on his wife, it is likely that Anna has thought about divorcing her husband. Jim Bob decided to intervene by buying the couple and their four kids a new home, which is near the Duggar’s place. But since Josh is in a rehab facility, he is not even there to enjoy the place.
Apart from the idea of ‘greasing’ Anna so that she will discard the notion of parting ways with her unfaithful husband for good, Jim Bob also wanted to have the family really close so that they can be available to Anna anytime she needs helps with the kids.
Josh and Anna used to stay in a very small area at the Duggar home and given their growing family, they really need more space.
According to reports, because of space limitations, Anna and her kids have been spotted for a number of times shuttling between their small area at the Duggar home and her parent’s house in Florida since Josh went into rehab.
Not happy about father’s decision
A source revealed that some of the other Duggar kids were not happy with the decision of their patriarch to gift Anna and Josh a new home.
They actually had high hopes that they would get the home one day and not Josh and Anna. That goes without saying that some of them actually believe that Josh does not deserve it since he was the reason why the family is in a financial quagmire at this time.
According to the source, some of Josh’s siblings have expressed their hopes that they could live in the home but none of them has directly challenged the decision of their father.
Meanwhile, another member of the Duggar family is about to leave the clan’s fold very soon. According to reports, Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband Ben Seewald will be uprooting themselves from the family after the former gives birth to their first child.
Jessa is due to give birth to her first child with Ben on November 1. They already know that the baby is going to be a boy so they are planning to call him Quincy.
If Jessa and Ben decide to move out from the premises of the Duggars, they will be the third couple to be doing so in a span of two months.
