Cast for Season 2 of True Detective Coming Together, Some Issues Still not Resolved!

It seems that the producers of “True Detective” have been doing a good job at finding people to fill the various roles in the show’s next season, and so far we have confirmations that Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch are all on board for the new season. This is certainly great news for fans of the series, especially those who have been eager about Vaughn joining the cast ever since it was rumored a few weeks ago.

Taylor Kitsch in particular has been expressing great interest in joining the show, and now seems to be quite excited at the opportunity. The actor went on to say that taking this role has been a special decision for him, as he has had to turn down several other projects in order to fit “True Detective” into his schedule. From this, fans can probably expect a great deal of dedication to the role, at least more than what is typically shown from TV actors.

Nic Pizzolatto, who has been out of his acting career for the last year, is also preparing for the new season, seeing it as an opportunity to brush up on his acting skills and get some good work done for his portfolio. The actor has been a fan of the show since it started, and his interest in acting in it can be traced back quite a while.

Meanwhile, not everything is so perfect surrounding the cast of the show. While a large part of the cast has been secured so far, there are still issues to be worked out, including the lack of a female lead. According to reports, this has been a major setback for the show’s production, to the point where the next season’s filming had to be pushed back until the role can be filled. From what has been publicly revealed, this is an ongoing problem, and it could take a while until it’s resolved and filming can proceed.

True Detective TV Show

Rachel McAdams is the closest the producers have come to securing a deal for the female lead so far, but there have apparently been issues there as well, and the actress is not yet completely on board for the show’s new season. Producers have not said anything about the season’s release date and how it could be affected by current events, and so far the season is still scheduled for release in summer 2015. Delaying its release would be quite problematic indeed, as TV shows run on tight schedules, unlike films which are easier to pick a release date for. If the show’s production misses the summer deadline, this could mean skipping the entire season’s period until the new episodes can be aired.
