Season 5, Episode 6 of The Walking Dead Previewed!

For a while now, it’s been known by fans that the new season of “The Walking Dead”, which has been airing for several episodes already, is going to feature yet another death of someone relatively important, and the producers have been doing a good job at keeping people on edge about the situation. It’s not yet known who’s about to get killed off, and there have been various indications pointing at pretty much every member of the cast so far.

And now, a teaser for the next, sixth episode of the show’s new season, showed Daryl burning a body. This can be a good indication that this will be the episode many fans have been waiting for (some more reluctantly than others). It’s not clear whose body was getting burned in the teaser in the first place, and it could very well be that of Beth, considering the previous events of this season.

However, it’s not easy to fool fans of a popular TV show, and people were quick to dissect the trailer practically frame by frame at online discussion boards, reaching the conclusion that the body cannot possibly belong to Beth due to various inconsistencies, including its size. It’s also worth noting that the teaser shows Carol saying “thank you” immediately after Daryl begins the process of burning the body, which further takes away from the credibility of the idea that it could belong to Beth.

Yet another point to be made about the scenario is that the producers spent a lot of time talking about how dramatic Beth’s death is planned to be, and how carefully the scene has been prepared to achieve the full potential of its emotional impact. On the other hand, what was shown in the teaser seemed to have a different undertone to it, so it’s a bit strange to consider that this could be the notorious scene in which Beth leaves the show. Last but not least, it would simply be too obvious of a choice, and it could be seen as bad taste from the producers if they were to show an event like that in a teaser.

The Walking Dead Season 5

The people behind this show have consistently proven that they understand the emotions of their audience, and that they’re driven by the desire to create a compelling story in the long run. Whatever they have planned for the next episode of the season, and even if the death isn’t Beth’s, it will still be something with the potential to shake up the more dedicated fans of the show. The emotional charge of this season is not to be underestimated, and those who have missed the recent developments in the show should be very pleased with what they see once they sit down to catch up.
