“Once Upon a Time” has been moving in some dramatic directions lately, but this is completely normal for the show as the producers have been pushing it in this direction on purpose in order to tease their fans a little bit. Some of the show’s characters are involved in some very dramatic developments, and it looks like the theme of failure will prevail for a little while as new plots are unraveling.
For one thing, Prince Charming and Snow White finally get to learn what King Arthur is all about, as he drops the mask and decides to lay his cards on the table. David has been getting himself in trouble in this regard, and he has apparently fallen victim to a plan carefully prepared by King Arthur, so he will need to work hard to get himself out of that mess. We aren’t even sure if he’ll be able to fix the situation in any easy way over the next episodes, but hopefully the character isn’t going to face too much trouble.
Lancelot also has some bad news for Snow White, as he tells her that things aren’t going very smoothly over in Camelot, and there are reasons for people to keep their eyes open in that place. Snow White obviously didn’t take the news well, and she was left in a strange state. It looks like her character is going to be put to a particularly hard test and she might undergo some permanent transformations as a result of what happens to her in these next episodes.
Meanwhile, critics have been expressing their positive responses towards the show as a whole and some of its actors in particular. Everyone involved in the show is doing a great job so far, and it’s obvious that the producers have put a lot of effort into picking the right cast members for each role. All of the on-screen characters mesh together very nicely and they all blend in to create the perfect mix, something that has been getting both fans as well as critics very excited.
In the beginning, there was some speculation towards the production, with some people claiming that it’s pushing the line of what’s a reasonable way to tell classic old fairy tales, but the people behind the show obviously have some creative ideas in mind and they have been implementing them very thoughtfully. Because of this, the show has managed to pick up in popularity very quickly after it started, and currently it’s been running for five seasons already and hasn’t missed a beat with its popularity among fans.
The dramatic developments that create so much tension have been the main point of interest for many fans, as it’s a nice twist on what we’re used to seeing in the original fairy tales themselves, where everything somehow turns out nicely in the end despite the problems along the way. Here, characters are sometimes facing more difficult issues that aren’t so straightforward to overcome.
But of course, it’s not aimed at children either, and it’s a production that walks a fine line between fantasy and drama. And because of this, many people have been curious to see where the production will be taken next, and how much more it can twist the stories that it tells. Fans have been excited for this season in particular as there are rumors that it’s going to come with some shocking developments that will permanently change the plot.
