The third season of the American supernatural drama TV series “Sleepy Hollow” went off to a blazing start in terms of spookiness and suspense when it premiered on Fox on October 1 and it seems that there will be no let up on the excitement on its fourth episode to air on October 22.
As if his bout with the famous serial killer Jack the Ripper was not suspenseful enough, Ichabod Crane, played by Tom Mison, will go up against Pandora, who has become more powerful than ever, and the Tooth Fairy on the fourth episode of “Sleepy Hollow.”
Pandora will unleash her most evil force yet in episode 4 of “Sleepy Hollow” while the Mills sisters, Abbie and Jenny will work together to save the children of the town, and take down the Tooth Fairy, details Comicbook Movie.com.
The fourth episode of the popular TV series is titled “The Sister Mills” which is quite fitting as both Abbie and Jenny will play an important part in taking down Pandora’s latest creation.
Modern-day twist
“Sleepy Hollow” the TV series is actually a modern-day twist on Washington Irving’s classic, featuring Ichabod Crane, who was resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel the mystery that dates way back to the founding fathers.
Ichabod Crane is a soldier and spy in the Colonial Army on a mission for General George Washington, the first president of the United States.
He was the one who killed the Headless Horseman who also killed him eventually. Ichabod rises from his grave more than 230 years later after the Headless Horseman is summoned back from his watery grave by an anonymous entity.
The resurrection of one caused the other to also come back to life as a result of their blood mixing together after Ichabod decapitated the Headless Horseman on the field of battle.
Meanwhile, Abbie Mills, a police lieutenant, started investigating the handiwork of the Headless Horseman after he beheads Sheriff August Corbin, Mills’ mentor and partner.
She later on discovered that there are two occult groups in Sleepy Hollow – one is good while the other is evil, but both are concerned with the Four Horsemen associated with the apocalypse, which the Headless Horsemen is said to be a part of.
It is because of the killing spree of the Headless Horseman in Sleepy Hollow that forced Ichabod to team up with Abbie, especially when they both learned that they are destined to be the two witnesses and the only ones who can protect the world from the forces of hell.
Sending chills down the spine
The third episode of “Sleepy Hollow” which aired on October 15 was so riveting that it actually sent chills down the spine of televiewers.
Officially titled “Blood and Fear,” the episode focused on the history of famous serial killer Jack the Ripper. Ichabod Crane sacrificed himself yet again to put an end to the killing by injecting himself with malaria because the knife of the killer can only be stopped with a disease, details Tech Times.
Watching the final scene during the third episode where Ichabod and Abbie, played by Nicole Beharie, sharing a moment together was so worth seeing all over again that even Crane believes that his near-death experience is quite worth it too.
The episode also showed that love is all around as viewers began to sense that something is brewing between Jenny Mills, played by Lyndie Greenwood, and Joe Corbin, played by Zack Appelman as well as Abbie and Agent Daniel Reynolds, played by Lance Gross.
Episode 3 also highlighted the decision of Ichabod Crane to finally become an American citizen.
According to previous reports, Season 3 of “Sleepy Hollow” will feature Ichabod and Abbie going up against new villains.
During Season 2, Ichabod killed his wife, Katrina Crane, played by Katia Winter, during their epic final showdown, picking his demon slaying partner instead of Katrina.
