Supermodel-turned-actress Kate Upton recalls how boyfriend Justin Verlander got blackout drunk during her 22nd birthday back in June last year.
Justin got drunk not because he was partying hard to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday but because he was so upset about the Detroit Tigers’ loss against the Chicago White Sox that he drowned himself in liquor and passed out.
Kate Upton made the disclosure to Chicago Cubs owner Tom Ricketts, whom she became friends with, during an ESPN The Magazine feature on Ricketts. Apparently, writer Marin Cogan was in the room when Upton told Ricketts and other friends of the story.
She said that it was her birthday then and Justin had probably the worst game ever and no one had any idea how her beau would respond to his worst game ever. Kate said that Justin vented to her in the car and said that he is going to get blackout drunk.
And that was what Justin did, he really got blackout drunk. She said that it was not in her plans at all because she wanted to eat popcorn and watch a movie but her boyfriend was determined to do what he wanted, details FTW! of USA Today.
True to what Kate said, Verlander had a horrible game against the White Sox. He gave up seven earned runs over five and two-thirds innings, which was the perfect reason to go blackout drunk.
Cover girl yet again
The favorite Sports Illustrated swimsuit model has just made it to the cover of W Korea for its October issue, notes Free On Smash.
For her latest pictorial, Kate undertook an exercise-themed photo shoot that is really nothing short of glamorous. Shot by photographer Norman Jean Roy, the photo shoot had the 1950s feel to it.
It was shot in a gym where Upton was shown wearing a head full of curls to go along with body suits, high-waisted briefs, and kitten heels. Critics described the photo shoot as a glam workout. She completed her ensemble with Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

W Korea made the announcement of Upton as its cover girl for its October issue when it posted its interactive cover on Instagram showing Kate wearing a luxurious fur coat.
In the interview that came with her being a cover girl of the magazine, Kate Upton was quoted to have said that she has no desire for the celebrity lifestyle and that she can carry her own luggage, indicating that she does not like being treated like a diva of sort.
Date night to end the rumors
After being spotted together on October 5 on their date night at Beverly Hills, Kate Upton and Justin Verlander have officially debunked rumors that have been going around since late in July that they have already called it quits.
And the couple did it without actually saying anything. They just showed up together, in full smiles and wearing coordinating outfits for their date night at the reputable Matsuhisa restaurant in Beverly Hills.
There were reports that came out in July that the relationship of Kate and Justin, pitcher for the Detroit Tigers in Major League Baseball, were going through a rough patch after Justin was rejected for the umpteenth time with his marriage proposal to Kate.
The 32-year-old Justin felt that it was really time to take their relationship to the next level after dating the word’s sexiest woman alive, but the 23-year-old supermodel-turned-actress still have other things in mind.
