‘Married at First Sight’ Season 3 to Usher an Almost New Reality TV Show!

Despite immense criticisms, the American social experiment TV series “Married at First Sight” will still have its Season 3 next year on the FYI network.

However, instead of having three new couples to meet for the first time and married right on the first episode, Season 3 will primarily focus on the two couples from the show’s first season, who managed to stay together.

With the new focus altogether, “Married at First Sight” Season 3 appears to be an almost new reality TV show.

Apparently, the producers of the show have taken heed on the harsh comments of some of the fans and critics of the show that “Married at First Sight” was contributing to the already increasing number of divorce in the US.

While the show’s rating for the second season has increased considerably compared to its Season 1, the negative perception about the show has likewise heightened significantly.

With moralists making their positions loud and clear against the TV show, it appears that both Kinetic Content, the production company of “Married at First Sight,” and FYI network want to come out of the issue clean.

There were even reports saying that the possible cancellation of Season 3 of “Married at First Sight” is already a comeuppance for its high divorce rates, with a batting average of only two out of six marriages during its first two seasons not ending in divorce.

Making the most of what it has

So instead of further adding to the divorce rate in the US, “Married at First Sight” Season 3 will just focus on welcoming back two couples from its first season who shall document the first year of their respective unions, details the Vine Report.

Rather than dwell on its downsides, the TV series will focus on its positive aspect and will use the two couples from Season 1 who somehow managed to cope with their relationship issues.

The couples who will be headlining Season 3 of “Married at First Sight” are Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner as well as Courtney Hendrix and Jason Carrion.

Based on reports, Jamie and Doug will be featured as struggling with some financial troubles as well as Doug’s overdependence on his parents.

For their part, Courtney and Jason will also have relationship issues as popular firefighter Jason will get plenty of attention from women and that would surely make his wife very jealous. Despite the jealousy issues, the marriage of Jason and Courtney seems to be pretty solid because Jason said that nothing is going to break them apart and that he really likes the marriage to work and become stronger.

“Married at First Sight” will delve deeper into the couples’ relationships and unravel more issues plaguing their union.

And as an added feature to the reality show, both couples will be guided through their journey by relationship experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Joseph Cilona, and Dr. Logan Levkoff. The season will cover the couple’s sixth month of married through the first year of the union.

Married at first sight

This is an entirely different touch on the show because, during the first two seasons, the relationship experts were not involved at all in the relationship and were merely psycho-analyzing the state of the relationships as served to them. In an effort to redeem itself, the producers deemed it best that intervention must be induced to ensure that the couples remain married and not let them spiral out of the marriage and resort to divorce right away.
