Castle has been trying to get over being separated from his wife, and the character has been getting along somewhat slowly but steadily. It will obviously be a while before he’s “whole” again, and this is an event that will affect him significantly, but it looks like there will be something to make up for his loss soon enough, as the writers are planning some interesting developments for the rest of the current season 8.
It looks like Castle and Beckett will be forced to get closer to each other for their work as they will have to work side by side for a while, and they of course both put their issues to the side in order to act with professionalism and deal with the problem at hand in an adequate way. We don’t know if this is going to strengthen the bond between them and possibly reignite that old flame, but it would certainly be quite interesting to see Castle and Beckett reuniting yet again.
Seeing them split up came as a shock to many fans, and people didn’t expect this to happen at all. The characters were getting along rather fine during their relationship, although they did have some specific issues. In the end, Beckett said she had to work on some things that have been pressing her in her life for some time now, and she decided to split up with Castle for now.
And Castle didn’t take that announcement very lightly either, as he was very surprised and even shocked to hear that she was leaving him. This was even more unusual for Castle in particular who was always telling Beckett that she needs to deal with her issues directly and without sparing any effort, but now he was trying to circle around the problem as much as possible before he came to grips with the idea that it was all over, at least for now.
The show’s fans didn’t take the split very well, but they are going to get over it – and according to the showrunners, this is exactly what they expected would happen, but they anticipated the reaction and were prepared for it. This was a risky move but it had to be done in order to bring something fresh into the setup of “Castle”, as the show was starting to get a little stale and too comfortable in its standard state, according to some of its fans.
And now, the two characters will have to put their issues aside for a while as they will be solving mysteries with each other’s help, whether they like it or not. This will be interesting to watch, even if it doesn’t lead to a reunion between the two of them. It would certainly at least make the show more exciting when the two characters are trying to deal with a crime without making it too obvious to those around them that they have certain personal issues between themselves. It might even lead to some conflicts with some other characters, according to fans.
But then again, “Castle” has never been about the dramatic aspect of its plot that much. Sure, the show does have such elements, but for the most part it’s about the thrill of solving the interesting mysteries that the characters are faced with, as well as a certain dose of humor that’s very unique to this show alone. It does have its dramatic moments, but they have never been a priority.
Very inflaming article seemingly written to chase viewers away rather than attract them. I will not leave just yet but if the show runners ( yes, I blame them and nobody else for the success or failure of this show) break Caskett apart permanently , even if they will work together to solve cases, count me as an ex fan. We keep getting promises that the show runners will not break up Caskett (and I consider this a contract between them and the loyal fans) yet we keep getting episodes showing them working together but not living together and making essentially no progress in resolving their issues. I am being led to believe that the show runners are not going to get Caskett together this season but leave that as a cliff hanger to go into season 9. This being the case I will be leaving at the beginning of the fall hiatus expecting there to be no season 9.
Recently saw a statement from Nathan that the show was trying to regain what it had in the beginning – fans supporting and favoring a union between the two main characters. I guess that is what you do when you cannot come up with anything new – just repeat the old stuff. Maybe we are starting a cycle of events where every 7 years they go back and start dusting off old scripts. Of course, if you examine it at all, nothing that they have done makes sense. Break them up but every episode you watch they spend most of the time together. Break them up to protect Castle but every time you see them they are together and openly exposed. Beckett needs time to think and to capture those trying to kill her but she is too busy solving crimes to do either. She needs to work in her office at the 12th using her detectives to solve crimes, ban Castle from the building to protect him, and so that she cAn think and use Vikram to research who is sending the squads of men to kill her.
I guess that I am monopolizing the conversation but I just wanted to say that at the present time Castle and Beckett are not doing anything that they couldn’t do while together 24/7. Rick is still working cases just like he did before the hiatus. Every since 01×01 he has been trying to be with Beckett and he is still doing this at 08×04. It is different that Beckett is supposed to be trying to resolve personal problems of a historic and psychological nature but you cannot see or hear that she is actually doing this by what you see and hear in the actual episodes. I am rapidly getting tired and bored with this just like I did with delays in the Caskett wedding and the Castle disappearance fiascos. They are supposed to delve into the Caskett problems in 8×07 and 8×08 but you cannot believe this because more and more lies they have told us are surfacing every day.
If things don’t get back to normal I’m gone.

Booth into not marrying bones or he would kill her & Booth broke off the engament with

It seems that this story line is the same way but with a different twist?
