Tom Cruise is making the headlines pretty frequently these days. Ever since Mission Impossible 5 has gone on the floors he has caught the entire media’s attention.
Mission Impossible is a popular franchise solely because it has Tom Cruise closely associated with it. The 52-year-old actor has been a part of franchise, ever since the first Mission Impossible title was released and has now become a producer for the film.
Mission Impossible films have all been the highest grossing Hollywood films of their time. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol earned over $700 million internationally. It is also Tom Cruise’s highest grossing film till date. Given the track record of the films, Mission Impossible 5 is likely to follow in the same path.
Christopher McQuarrie, the scriptwriter of Mission Impossible 5, is known to include some breathtaking action sequence and fights in his films. Tom Cruise will reprise the role of IMF agent Ethan Hunt. Cruise is known to perform all the stunts himself. For Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Cruise scaled the 123 story Burj Khalifa and also ran across vehicles that were moving fast and jumped onto a car during a bad desert storm.
It seemed likely that Tom Cruise would do his stunts for Mission Impossible 5 as well. He was photographed on the set during an action sequence, hanging from an A400M that was flying, during the British leg of the shoot. The actor was performing the stunt while wearing a smart looking grey suit.
Director Brad Bird said that he had a harrowing time every time he realised that his star actor was putting his life on peril and hanging from a wire miles up in the air, but they had taken all the safety measures to ensure that the Mission impossible 5 star doesn’t hurt himself during the shoot.
While Cruise does his stunts, Stunt Director, Wade Eastwood is helping out the other actors on the sets of Mission Impossible 5. Rebecca Ferguson, the lead actress of the film has been seen performing some hair-raising stunts under the guidance of Eastwood.
There is not much known about the film, except that the old characters played by Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames will return for Mission Impossible 5. Sean Harris, of Prometheus fame, is supposedly the antagonist.
Tom Cruise is also creating ripples with reports that he is flirting with one of the assistants on the sets. Cruise seems to have taken a liking for the 22-year-old and there are rumours that he has already asked the unnamed assistant for a date after the filming for Mission Impossible 5 is wrapped.
