Because of the rumors that British actor Theo James and his “Divergent: Allegiant” co-star Shailene Woodley are getting closer to each other, subsequent speculations suggest that it has caused the breakup of James and his girlfriend, actress Ruth Kearney.
Without really meaning to dignify the speculations by responding or denying it squarely, Theo James and Ruth Kearney quashed those breakup rumors by showing up recently in New York City on a casual stroll and looking very much like a couple in love, notes Movie News Guide.
They were walking at the Big Apple on September 19 and having some deep and private conversation. James has just completed the shoot of Hugo Boss’ Scent advertisement in between filming breaks for the two-part “Divergent: Allegiant,” the concluding movies of the “Divergent” trilogy based on the novel of Veronica Roth.
Latest reports also indicate that instead of simply being called as “Divergent: Allegiant Part 1” and “Divergent: Allegiant Part 2,” the concluding movies of the Divergent series will be officially titled “Divergent: Allegiant” and “Divergent: Ascending,” respectively.
Sense of confidence
In a recent interview, Theo James said that in as far as sense of confidence is concerned, he needed to have a style that is strong, confident, and elegant given his limited and selected wardrobe, just like most men do.
He added that the most important thing in achieving confidence is to have that sense of self and being comfortable with one’s skin, notes Just Jared.
James exuded that very same confidence when he was spotted with his girlfriend in New York City doing a casual afternoon walk.
Dangerous stunt
Meanwhile, Theo James and Shailene Woodley said that they have just completed the most dangerous stunt for “Divergent: Allegiant” in their recent filming. The scene is where James’ character Four is scaling a 60-foot wall.
The actor said that they did the scene when Shailene had to be facing down while he had to be the other way and he thought that it was a little daunting.
Shailene explained that she was facing the ground, walking backward, and that she was holding onto Theo’s shoulder like it was the last thing.
James said that “Allegiant” is going to be a more mature movie in the franchise because it is going to take the relationship of Four and Tris ahead and will have the sophisticated adult audience as the focus.
Fans of Shailene Woodley and Theo James would be screaming with delight to know that their idols just spoke about their feelings about one another in a recent interview.
But it would not be anything romantic as they wished or hoped it to be as the two, just like in their previous interviews, only have good words for each other as actors and professionals.
In the interview, the 23-year-old Shailene said that she was happy working with Theo James for the third time, after recently completing the filming of their third movie together “Divergent: Allegiant.”
She said that having Theo by her side really felt reassuring and comfortable for her and that she really felt protected by him in a great way.
Shailene also added that she had fun working with Theo because the actor can crack up a joke any time to make them both feel comfortable and at ease with one another.
For his part, Theo James was all praises for Shailene Woodley because she is a much better person than he was or he could ever be.
He said that he is impressed by his co-star because she can still keep her feet on the ground but still able to achieve everything she wants to achieve.
Despite their undeniable chemistry on and off screen, Theo and Shailene insist that their relationship is strictly professional.
