We’re almost ready to get “Once Upon a Time” season 5, and it looks like the producers have been planning a lot for their fans and have definitely not been slacking off. All that we’ve heard about the new season of the show paints a very dramatic, yet interesting picture, and we wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out to be a massive hit among fans and critics alike. There is already a lot of attention on it thanks to the success of the previous seasons, and the stakes are even higher for the producers this time – but on the other hand, they definitely seem to be aware of that fact as they have reportedly come up with a very strong season.
Among the themes that will be explored in the new season, we’re reportedly going to learn more about certain characters as well as the items that make them so powerful, and fans will be treated to some rather surprising revelations. It turns out that some of the characters of this show have a lot more going on in their backgrounds than fans are possibly suspecting, and the fifth season of the show can really push fans to the edge with some of the revelations that are going to be made.
Emma is going to progressively get darker and darker, as her character will succumb to the call of dark magic. Whether or not this will have any lasting implications isn’t yet clear, but fans have been worried about where her character might end up. Emma seemed pretty convinced of her ability to resist the darkness and avoid getting sucked into it, but we have no idea if that’s actually going to work out for her or not. From what we’re hearing about the new season so far though, she might definitely have a problem or two there.
On the other hand, the show is also going to explore some serious themes such as LGBT relationships and attempt to paint them in a light that makes them more acceptable and easier to understand for everyone. This is still a somewhat unusual topic among film and TV producers and not everyone is comfortable with exploring it in more detail right now, so it’s good to see that the producers of “Once Upon a Time” have decided to try their hand at this and make an interesting representation of the whole idea.
We even know some details about that relationship – Mulan is apparently going to fall in love with someone quite soon after the season starts, and of course fans have already been putting forward various theories about how that might turn out. Suffice to say that the revelation managed to get a lot of people excited, and the good thing is that many of the show’s fans seem quite comfortable with the idea of having an LGBT relationship explored in the production, possibly even in more detail.
Regina and Emma are likely going to strengthen their connection as well, although this is also something that we don’t have too many details about right now. It’s not like their relationship is simple anyway, as sharing a son has definitely made things a bit tricky for both of them, but it looks like they might have something up ahead that will bring them together and help them create a healthy bond. The two of them will apparently trust each other a lot more in this season.
