There is pretty much no official information about “GTA 6” at this point and Rockstar are keeping quiet about this while they are continuing their work on “GTA 5”, but there have been various rumors indicating that the game is in active development behind the studio’s doors, although it’s still in the planning stage.
The main speculation about it right now is focused on the setting and location – people are wondering where Rockstar might have decided to place the next game, and there are some indications that it might not be a fictional location like the franchise has traditionally done in its most recent installments. There were some “GTA” games set in real-life locations, but the main portion of the series has been set all over various made-up places.
Now, there are rumors that an American state is going to be the main setting for the next “GTA” game, although the exact state hasn’t been determined yet. It doesn’t even take that much to keep evolving this idea, and yet Rockstar constantly put even more effort into each new installment, amazing their players even more and making significant progress in their gameplay and storytelling. It used to be a simple game where the player walks up to a payphone, receives a brief rundown of a job, and goes out to complete it quickly.
