Game developer CD Projekt Red has recently released a new update to the super turbo lightning mod of its open-world role-playing game “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” which added more tweaks and depth to the popular video game.
Bidness ETC actually describes the new update as the developer’s own way of setting new standards not just for its own game but also for most other role-playing video games out in the market today.
The world of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is so massive and very detailed that it comes out very spectacular that any gamer could ever imagine.
CD Projekt Red never disappoints as each new installment or update to its video games offer far better gameplay experience and a more immersive or participative storyline for gamers.
A treat to the modding community
The latest update to “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” actually benefitted the modding community or the multiplayer component of the game as CD Projekt Red gave access to players and modders to introduce mods to the game.
There have been many mods that have recently come out from fans, a number of them did improve the gameplay, while others added a new layer of challenge to the game by bringing about random items to the game.
The super turbo lightning mod of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is one of the most searched mods of the game since it was released on the gaming consoles on May 19, 2015. Gamers and modders prefer it because it improves the overall lightning in the game, making it look better and vivid than it actually is.
But the lightning mod has not been released in a fully optimized state because of a few different issues that require better tools in order to be fixed. And that is the reason why modders released a new update to fix that issues that have been bugging the previous release.
The game’s super turbo lightning mod comes with nights that are slightly darker, and days that have a better AO.
Reports also have it that a new expansion to “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is now underway and it is to be called “Hearts of Stone.” Accordingly, Geralt of Rivia, the game’s protagonist, may suffer a permanent damage due to a consequence where a spell cast by Triss, Ciri, and Yennefer to remove a mark from his body will not have the desired result on him.
Not selling to EA
Meanwhile, there have been rumors going around that Polish game developer CD Projekt Red is planning to sell itself to gaming industry giant Electronic Arts (EA).
The rumors were actually surprising especially at the heels of the successful launching of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” which sold over six million copies already, notes iDigital Times.
The cardinal rule in gaming is that nobody should comment or dignify rumors in order to kill the wrong story via natural death.
But CD Projekt Red felt compelled to make a comment and it vehemently denied that it was selling to EA. The speculations about the possible sale of CD Projekt Red started on the inside from an employee leak to Dark Side of Gaming.
According to the employee, he was just sharing the bad news because he apparently saw several EA people wandering about their offices for meetings. Since the Polish developer does not have any new games coming out in the next two years, EA people could not be there for a publishing deal with CD Projekt Red.
That leads to the assumption that EA people were there because they are interested in acquiring CD Projekt Red and its game “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” which is quite absurd considering that EA already has in its roster “Dragon Age: Inquisition,” which is a similar role-playing game as “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.”
With the denial of CD Projekt Red, it becomes clear that the fiercely independent Polish game developer will continue to remain as one and will have its firm hold on “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.”
The Polish game developer always comes up with a game that is a visual feast for gamers. It was very evident with the PC version of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” because the locales in the game were simply astounding.
