Fans of “Bones” have been excited for season 11 as its air date approaches, as there is a lot to explain from the last season and there have been multiple points of speculation for the community. It’s clear that the show’s writers are preparing something quite interesting behind the scenes, and the way season 10 ended left quite the large number of questions. Many fans were disappointed to see the split between Brennan and Booth, and there are various other plotlines that have to be explored now.
Currently, the main topic of speculation is about the return of the main characters – are we going to see Booth and Brennan returning, or have they been written off for good? It was originally believed that we aren’t going to see much more from either of them, but now the rumors have shifted in another direction, with claims that the characters are actually coming back for season 11.
It might not happen right away, however, and we may need to wait some time before the characters are brought back to the screen. There have been some hints from the show’s producers regarding the return of the characters, claiming that if that does happen, it will lay the foundation for a very exciting and interesting season 11.
So for now, the main idea is that the characters will likely come back at some point later during the season, not immediately – the show will continue about half a year after their split and we’ll see them moving on with their lives in their own separate ways, which will probably be a bit of a nostalgic experience for the show’s fans because it will be implied that they will never get back together.
However, the situation will change at some point during the new season and we’re going to see both characters slowly coming back to their standard roles, although with certain changes that may or may not be permanent.
In addition, when we do see the characters returning, it will likely be done in a split fashion, with one character coming back before the other. Booth will likely be missing from the screen for some time as he has some things to deal with of his own, and until he takes care of that business, fans aren’t going to see much of his character.
On the other hand, Brennan is still trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life and what kinds of projects she wants to take on, and this is something that will give her a lot of trouble for some time during the new season. She will try to rebuild her life away from all the drama that surrounded her in the FBI, but we don’t know if she’ll truly be able to leave all that behind, or if she’ll face some issues readjusting to her “normal” life.
Of course we’re going to see the duo eventually getting back together with their old colleagues and there will be some exciting developments on that front.
From what we’ve heard so far, there will actually be a touching moment in there related to that reunion, and we’re going to see both characters realizing that they’re missing something from their previous lives, and will end up trying to get back into the mindset that their work requires. Whether or not they’ll be successful though, we don’t know – but in the end, it would make for a pretty bad setup of the show otherwise.
