With all eyes of gamers already on the upcoming basketball simulation video game “NBA 2K16” to be released in the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and the PC later this month, game developer 2K Sports decided to give “NBA 2K15” one final push in August before the game gradually fades out.
The developer has made available a number of cheats and locker codes for “NBA 2K15” which enabled gamers to get as much as 6,000 Virtual Currency (VC) points, play using an ABA ball, get new shoes, add skill points, unlock achievement of claiming 20 contracts, and get either a random prize or just a plain surprise, details the Franchise Herald.
2K Sports posted the locker codes on Twitter which also assured gamers that they will also get special points for “NBA 2K15” in line with the upcoming launch of the “NBA 2K16.”
For those who are eyeing to purchase the “NBA 2K16” as addition to the current “NBA 2K15, the game developer has started accepting pre-orders that would feature an “Early Tipoff Weekend.” The event would allow gamers to play the game on September 25, just a few days before the actual release of “NBA 2K16.”
Accordingly, those who pre-ordered “NBA 2K16” would be given amazing bonuses that include 35,000 VC points for “NBA 2K15,” 10,000 VC points for “NBA 2K16,” and a MyTeam VIP complete Emerald packs that comes with a guaranteed Emerald player.
Still hook on the current game
Amid the impending release of the latest basketball simulation video game “NBA 2K16” on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC, many gamers are still hooked on to its predecessor, the “NBA 2K15.”
While waiting for “NBA 2K16” which promises to bring in more improvements and new features, the next best thing for the game developed by 2K Sports and published by EA, is settling with “NBA 2K15.”
When it was released last year, “NBA 2K15” takes pride with the fact that it came from the same franchise that was already nominated for 70 ‘Game of the Year’ awards.
The cover featured 2013-14 NBA regular season MVP Kevin Durant and came with an electric soundtrack curated by internationally-renowned artist and producer Pharrell Williams.
When the game hit the gaming consoles and the PC in September last year, it came with unprecedented life-like graphics, ultra-realistic NBA gameplay, among other things, notes GameStop.
Significant improvements
“NBA 2K15” also featured a good number of significant gameplay improvements from its predecessor, the “NBA 2K14” including 5,000 new animations, all-new defensive AI, shooting systems, new team-specific play sets, more control over rebounding, steals, and blocks, making gamers feel really engaged in every basketball decision and action they make in the game.
The video game also features broadcast-style presentation hosted by Ernie Johnson and Shaq, who deliver authentic commentary and analysis to the on-court action.
The game also features the MyCAREER mode in an all-new storyline; a MyPARK, which takes gamers to massive-multiplayer playground mode; and MyTEAM, which enables players to build their fantasy dream team with cards from every era by earning and buying MyTEAM packs.
Following the conclusion of the NBA 2014-15 season with the victory of the Golden State Warriors over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals in June, 2K Sports has released the final roster update for “NBA 2K15.”
The final team lineups on “NBA 2K15” for the season have been trimmed to remove the names of injured players and quite noticeably, the changes on the team rosters is not too many.
The video game has also shown the evolution of a couple of NBA players who proved that they are superstar materials in the recently-concluded NBA season.
