Mortal Kombat X Releases on April 14, 2015; New Storyline and Characters Included

Mortal Kombat X has finally been provided with a release date, and fans are lining up to grab their copy through pre-orders. This upcoming title, from Nether Realms Studio, is all geared up for an April 14, 2015 release. It will release on the older Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles along with the next-generation Xbox One and PS4.

PC gamers can also rejoice as the upcoming title will release simultaneously on the Windows Operating System. There are currently many rumors and speculations about the game. However, developers have finally released some solid information regarding this tenth upcoming installment of the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Firstly, the game is available in both single-player and multiplayer options. The characters have been properly balanced so that there are no chances of a single character constantly winning against the others.

Gamers also get to look forward to the various difficulty levels in the game. There are many Mortal Kombat fans that are much more experienced and skilled than others who are new to the game. As a result, the adjustable difficulty setting will be greater for the newer players. In most of the previous titles, the single-player story did not matter much. The developers indicated that things will be different with this upcoming title.

Once the gamers step into the single-player mode, they will experience a lot of Sub-Zero and Scorpion action, which are the major characters in Mortal Kombat X’s storyline. Furthermore, the developers have claimed that there will be 24 additional characters, coming in different variants and outfits. Playable characters in the game include Goro, Raiden, Quan Chi, Ferra and Torr, Kotal Kahn, Kano, Cassie Cage and D’Vorah.

Meantime, Warner Bros. is working on a live-action digital series inspired from the Mortal Kombat X game. Unfortunately, Warner Bros. hasn’t shared much about the specifics regarding this new development.
They declared that it would highlight some of the most important characters in the story while adding a new generation of warriors as well. Blue Ribbon Content is responsible for the production of this untitled Mortal Kombat installment. The makers are known for their diverse skill-set and are a newly created part of Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. did not reveal any details regarding the people working on this live-action series project. No updates were provided regarding the release date or how gamers might be able to watch it.

However, Warner Bros. is not the only one involved in such a live-series project at the moment. Microsoft has also teamed up with Alien director, Ridley Scott for their upcoming game, Halo: Nightfall. In other news, earlier this October, DC’s Digital First Panel at NYCC revealed that a Mortal Kombat X comic series will be launched in January 2015.
