Amid the speculations about the veracity of the 2016 Ford Bronco, there was actually a rumor earlier this year that the vehicle will be unveiled at the blockbuster movie “Jurassic World,” according to Autoomobile.
After a concept design of the Ford Bronco was displayed at the New York Auto Show back in 2004, nothing has been heard of the vehicle since until reports about the 2016 Ford Bronco started coming out in April of last year.
Based on the 2004 concept, there were reports that the 2016 Ford Bronco would come out looking like a combination of a jeep and an SUV, which would be an ideal vehicle for going into safari or the jungle. It is for such reason that the vehicle was rumored to make its debut in the “Jurassic World” perhaps as a park service vehicle.
But as it turned out, there was no trace at all of the 2016 Ford Bronco when “Jurassic World” finally hit the theaters in June this year. In its stead, was the Mercedes-Benz compact crossover which was the service vehicle of Bryce Dallas Howard, who played park manager Claire in the movie.
Remains extinct
The Ecumenical News points out that just like the dinosaurs in the “Jurassic World” movie, the 2016 Ford Bronco remains extinct up to this day.
After countless rumors of its impending release that did not materialize at all, many of the skeptics believe that the vehicle will no longer see the light of day anymore.
With a new report coming out about the 2017 Ford Bronco, it seems apparent that the 2016 Ford Bronco will not be happening any longer as the window of release dims.
From a carmaker’s point of view, a 2016 vehicle model should come out from the second half of 2015 up to the first half of 2016. Any point beyond that grace period would make it a model for the following year.
So assuming that the 2016 Bronco is real alright, despite hardly an announcement or statement from the American car manufacturer, then Ford still has all of 10 months to go to launch the vehicle. However, with the lack of promotional news, production update or dealer reports, it is unlikely to happen within the next 10 months.
A competitive price point
The 2016 Ford Bronco is still a rumor up to this day, more than a year after reports came out of it on the internet on April 1, 2014. Accordingly, it was an April Fool’s Day joke that went viral and eventually breed a lot of other versions.
As the American carmaker Ford Motor Company has yet to make a formal announcement or statement to either confirm or deny the rumors about the 2016 Ford Bronco, each information going around on the worldwide web is merely speculation at this time.
However, it does not prevent readers and car enthusiasts from appreciating some of the information being made on the 2016 Bronco, especially with the fact that most of them looks pretty solid.
After all, it is quite difficult to come up with a hoax that is purely based on one’s imagination of a vehicle. The details have to be culled from some authentic source which is why some of the reports on the 2016 Ford Bronco appear real as real can be.
While most of the reports and rumors on the 2016 Ford Bronco focus on the specification and features of the pickup truck, the Ford Concept 2016 website was among the first to come out with details regarding the expected SRP of the vehicle if and when it finally comes out.
The site said that the price of the 2016 Ford Bronco shall approximate that of the 2015 Ford F-150 crew cab pickup truck, which is currently being sold in the retail market at $45,950.
