Katy Perry would not be taking Taylor Swift’s diss song about her titled “Bad Blood” sitting down. The “Roar” singer is planning to retaliate and start the fireworks to re-ignite her long-running feud with the “Blank Space” singer.
According to latest reports, Katy has already written a scathing song about her feud with Taylor Swift and based on the initial report of people in the know, it could really turn ugly, notes OK magazine.
An insider on the camp of the “Firework” singer said that the song shall have a title of “Crocodile Tears” and Katy Perry is looking to tap Diplo, who openly bashed Taylor Swift early this year much to the chagrin and anger of the millions of Swifties, to produce the record.
The same source also disclosed that Katy already had the title “Crocodile Tears” registered.
The insider said that Katy has been very restrained in what she’s been saying about Taylor Swift in public, but after hearing for herself the swipe against her on the song “Bad Blood,” she is ready to put her side out too via “Crocodile Tears” which is all about being a fake.
According to Hollywood Life, Katy Perry and Diplo already recorded the song together based on their joint hatred of Taylor Swift. If the reports are true about the upcoming song, then the feud between the two pop singers would really heat up and become more intense a few months from now.
The feud between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry started a few years ago when the “Shake it Up” singer accused the “Unconditionally” singer of stealing her backup dancers during her concert tour.
But Perry claimed that the dancers were just loaned out to Taylor Swift and that she also needed them for her own performance gigs and it was not her intention to take them away from the country singer-turned-pop star. Instead of coming out in public, Taylor Swift released a diss song against Katy Perry, which is “Bad Blood.” The title alone already offers a hint of the swipe Taylor will be doing on Katy.
Interesting music feud
It would really be interesting to see how the music feud heats up considering that the two pop singers have been going at it for quite some time with their music.
So it would be “Crocodile Tears” going up against “Bad Blood,” which would actually be one of the ironic direct head-to-head of their respective music.
Taylor Swift’s latest album is titled “1989” and there were reports that Katy Perry is planning to slam her bitter rival with her revenge track titled “1984,” which the “E.T.” singer debunked.
Looking through the past singles of the two pop singers, Taylor Swift has a song called “White Horse,” while Katy Perry has a single titled “Dark Horse.”
Fans are really savoring the music feud for as long as it stays on such level where their respective creativities are being maximized instead of merely working to discredit the other by words of mouth.
Joining the fray
When Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift had a short-lived Twitter feud late in July as an offshoot of the hip-hop artist’s comment alluding to possible racial discrimination on the nominations in the 2015 Video Music Awards, Katy Perry practically came out of nowhere to make an indirect potshot at the “Blank Space” singer.
The feud began when Minaj tweeted and complained about the lack of MTV Award nominations for her “Anaconda” music video, alluding to racial discrimination even if feminism is already being embraced by the music industry.
Taylor Swift took it as a personal dig as she was nominated in the awards so she tweeted that she has nothing but love and support for Nicki but the hip-hop artist were pitting women against each other in her tweet.
It was a minor social media feud that in a matter of days, things were already sorted out between Nicki and Taylor as both expressed apologies to each other.
