Mia Khalifa has been in the news a lot lately – a lot more than most of her colleagues can brag about, and it’s clear that she has a strong grip on her appearance in media. And while there has been a lot of controversy surrounding her character, including some pretty bad incidents such as alleged death threats, some have been claiming that this was all done on purpose in order to manufacture her rise to fame.
There could be some truth in that theory too, and it’s something many of her fans have been suspecting as well. After all, even though her name regularly gets mentioned in some negative context online, she is also enjoying a lot of popularity in her line of work. She has been constantly hanging around the top spots in the rankings of various porn sites, including some of the most popular ones around the world, and it’s clear that many people are interested in watching her.
Some have been analyzing her rise to fame, claiming that she purposefully exploited her ethnicity and the religion in her own country, utilizing it to her advantage in order to stir up the controversy that she was going after. That may or may not be true, but it’s definitely true that she was the subject of much negativity from various people, mostly those from her own country who claimed to have been disappointed and even ashamed to share her origin.
Mia Khalifa, on the other hand, doesn’t really seem to care about all that and the star has been enjoying her life as a celebrity without paying too much attention to those comments. At this point, we don’t even expect her to address the negativity in any way, as she doesn’t stand to gain much from that.
But she has been purposefully shooting some very provocative scenes, such as porn involving a hijab, as well as filming with other Muslim girls. Whether she likes the controversy or not, it’s pretty clear that she at least understands the benefit from it and is willing to push these trends even further if it means staying in the spotlight.
There have been other incidents related to her too, such as the recent hack of Donovan McNabb’s Twitter account, which resulted in some pictures of Mia Khalifa being posted along with certain messages. This incident of course managed to stir up some controversy of its own, and Khalifa found herself in the middle of the news yet again.
How long is her popularity going to last, however? This is a question many have been asking, as it’s no secret that the porn industry tends to be a very fast-moving one. Relevance is a precious resource when it comes to female porn stars, who usually have a window of several years to do something worthwhile with their careers before they fade into obscurity.
Things are going to be pretty difficult for Mia Khalifa if she doesn’t find a way to maintain her popular image without resorting to stirring up controversy of her own. But she seems to already be doing that to some extent, as she has been noticed making certain negative comments about people. We don’t know if that was an intentional move meant to bring her name back into the spotlight or not, but it definitely did do a good job at improving Khalifa’s public presence to some extent. As we said above though, she does seem to be well aware of her situation in general.
