General Hospital to Ramp Up the Drama with some Deeper Episodes Coming Up!

The plot of “General Hospital” has been under some criticism by fans of the show lately, as it was apparently starting to get a little too convoluted, while it also focused on the wrong aspects of some characters’ development. Because of this, the show is going to go through some changes in the future as the producers will be bringing some more drama to the screen. While this news was taken pretty well by the community of the show’s fans in general, it might have some rather bad implications for the future of certain characters.

It should be noted that the changes in the show’s storyline aren’t random, and they come as a result of a change in the people handling the writing. It looks like the producers have been paying attention to the comments going around the community lately, and they are determined to make sure that the show changes to something better liked by the fans.

The new writers joining the crew are Shelly Altman and Jean Passanante, after Ron Carlivati was dismissed from his position as head writer. Details on that development remain a bit sketchy and conflicting, and given the sensitive nature of the controversy, we don’t expect things to clear up anytime soon. If anything, that story will probably get even more convoluted in the future and we’ll never know what’s going on behind the scenes entirely.

But most fans don’t even care about that at this point, and they’re just interested in seeing where the show is going to go next, now that it has brand new writers handling its future episodes. As we said above, the change in the writing staff is going to come with some more dramatic changes to the plot, as the show will now focus on deeper, more touching moments and we may see some of its characters undergoing significant transformations in their personalities.

Could the new pair of writers save the production? Many of the show’s fans have been hoping so, as the ratings for “General Hospital” have been on a continuous downward trend lately. If something isn’t done fast, this can have dramatic repercussions for the future of the production, and no amount of high quality writing is going to save things.

From what we’re hearing, Passanante and Altman are planning to bring the show back to its roots and explore the original style of storytelling that it featured, something which has been forgotten in the more recent episodes. This is exactly one of the things that fans have been discussing the most, and it’s a change that will be welcomed by pretty much everyone who follows the show.

The producers admit that the show has lost its course recently and a lot can be done to get it back on the right track, but they seem to be thinking in that direction quite actively already. There are supposedly other changes planned that should refine the show’s focus and direct it towards plot developments that can have the greatest impact, but we don’t know what those are at the moment.

Most of the changes are being kept a secret from the fans, as the producers apparently want the new developments to be a surprise for everyone. Which, on one hand, is certainly good – but on the other, it wouldn’t hurt to let fans know what they can expect from the future episodes in a little more detail so they would anticipate the show’s continuation even better.
