Homeland Season 5 might Bring Carrie and Quinn Back Together, Carrie to Be Presented in a Tougher Light!

The new season of “Homeland” is going to bring some dramatic – and exciting – developments to the plot, and we’re also going to see a lot of progression in the character of Claire Danes, Carrie. According to previews for the new season, we’re going to see her in a tougher light as she will now be seen as a traitor by her own homeland, and will be facing an entirely new array of challenges.

According to reports, the show’s producers Alex Gansa has shed some light on the upcoming episodes. The fact that Carrie decided to work in Berlin isn’t going to be taken lightly by her former handlers at the CIA, and there will be a lot of conflict related to her work. The conflict might even turn physical, according to some rumors, and fans may get to see their favorite character in a completely new light.

Saul Berenson managed to climb to the top of the CIA, and even though he was quite close with Carrie, he will now take the position that her new work goes against the values of the CIA and undermines the work of her former colleagues, which will be at the center of their conflict.

That won’t be all that will be troubling Carrie though – she will also face a lot of scrutiny from her new German coworkers, and for obvious reasons. Of course they aren’t going to trust a former CIA spy just like that, and Carrie will need to put a lot of work into convincing them that she’s actually on their side. Work which might eventually end up falling apart once her former colleagues start appearing in unusual circumstances and her job might face serious difficulties.

There will also be some positive developments in the new season, on the other hand, and it won’t all be in a bad light. Peter Quinn will get back together with Carrie in season 5, something which many fans seem to be looking forward to. The two characters made an interesting duo and fans were certainly disappointed to see them split up by the plot, and this should lighten up the mood of season 5 to some extent.

We already got to see a teaser for that in the trailer for season 5, although we didn’t need that to confirm that the two characters have decided to reconcile, as we saw them kissing at the end of season 4. It was obvious that their separation wasn’t going to be permanent, as the two characters still had some strong feelings for each other and were only splitting up due to unfortunate circumstances.

There are still lots of unknowns about the new season, and fans have been trying to fill in the gaps in various ways, mostly by speculating about the possible plot developments on online discussion boards. It’s interesting to note that Carrie was shown using a sniper rifle in one of the previews for the new season, so it’s possible that we might see her doing some “wet work”, possibly even against her wishes.

homeland season 5

That has been a major point of speculation for some fans of the show, as it would be a bit uncharacteristic for Carrie to just start disposing of random people, and things must be getting really tense for her to find herself in such a position. On the other hand, we don’t know the context of that scene, and there are lots of possibilities.
