Game developer Evolution Studios has confirmed that there will be an update coming to its racing video game “Driveclub” for the PlayStation 4 this month and one of the things that it will bring which players are too excited about is the free car download.
But the free car download is just one of the many things that players should expect from the upcoming update of the game this month.
Accordingly, there will also be a surprise that Evolution Studios is planning to unveil but the developer refuses to divulge any detail at all.
However, game director Paul Rustchynsky revealed via his Twitter account that the update will bring forth support for the Thrustmaster TH8A Add-on Shifter, both gated and sequential configurations, notes PlayStation Lifestyle.
It shall also provide clutch support to the Thrustmaster T3PA and T3PA-PRO Add-on Pedals. As an added extra to gamers during the racing proper, the new update will also come with car statistics including power, weight, among others.
The new car statistics can be seen in the Garage, Car Select, Elite Levels 66-75, and VUHL and Rimac handling improvements.
Two DLC packs
Late last month, two DLC packs came to “Driveclub” that had fans and gamers of the racing video game excited with delight.
The first pack is called the Horsepower Expansion Pack and came out on July 28. It included 11 new events, five new cars, and five new trophies.
The five new cars that came with the DLC pack was the Ferrari LaFerrari FXX K, the Nissan GT-R NISMO, the McLaren P1 GTR, the Renault Megane R.S. 275 Trophy-R, and the Ferrari FXX Evoluzione, details Destructoid.
The second pack, which also dropped on the same day, is called the UnitelnSpeed Tour Pack. The pack came with an extra 11 events and five new trophies but does not have any new car, unlike the first pack.
In addition to the two DLC packs, game developer Evolution Studios also released a 0.5GB update that came with a series of tweaks and revisions to the game. The patch boasts new Elite Driver Levels for L60+ racers and new Random Event options.
Club Challenges featured all Club Members participating and individual leaderboard positions. The update also came with new filters and frames for Photo Mode and a New Garage option to enable players to filter the vehicles in their garage.
Values player feedbacks
Evolution Studios says that the feedback of “Driveclub” gamers is at the heart of everything that it is adding to the game. It encouraged fans and players to continue sharing feedbacks to the company.
The developer assured gamers that they will have more updates and features, as well as new cars in the works for the future updates and new contents of “Driveclub.”
What gives “Driveclub” a strong and an immediate appeal to gamers is the fact that it is very easy to play and offers superb visuals and graphics too. Furthermore, players will note that there is a lot of going on in the background to keep them connected and competitive with their club members and other players.

Amid what’s happening in the background, the foreground of “Driveclub” is where all the real action is which gamers certainly find satisfying. It is an approachable and enjoyable racing video game and it is also highlighted by AI cars that love to unfairly bash and crash on the single-player side and networking issues that often hamper the multiplayer mode.
“Driveclub,” a game which focuses on road racing, was announced during the PlayStation 4 press conference on February 20, 2013. The game was officially released to the Sony gaming platform in October 2014. Some eight months after its release, it has sold over two million copies as of July 2015.
Correction, there’ll be TWO free cars this month. One via free DLC, and one that can be unlocked by reaching driver rank 66.
