‘FIFA 16’ Career Mode to Feature New FUT Draft System and Pre-Season Tournaments

As announced by game developer and publisher EA during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 in June and then again last week during the Gamescom 2015 held in Cologne, Germany, the football simulation video game “FIFA 16” will be coming to the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and the PC on September 24.

Amid all the gameplay improvements and new features that will come with the game, the “FIFA 16” Career Mode shall come with two new features that were missing from the previous titles of the franchise.

In order to give in to fan clamor, EA will be introducing the new FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) draft system into the “FIFA 16” Career Mode. Consequently, the mode shall also have the pre-season tournaments, typical of real-life football.

The players’ clubs will now have the opportunity to be invited to three out of a possible nine pre-season tournaments played in Asia, Europe, Latin America, or North America, details the Express of UK.

The games will be an opportunity for players to work on their respective team’s strategies and lineups before the start of the regular season. They can also use it to improve their rotation by using their subs and test squad players.

What’s even more interesting for gamers is that the prize purse that they can win in participating in these pre-season tournaments gets allocated to their transfer budget for the upcoming season.

New trailer coming

Meanwhile, Highsnobiety reported that a new trailer for “FIFA 16” will be coming soon to coincide with the start of the 2015-16 Premier League season.

The outlet also confirmed that the upcoming game will deliver and update on the FUT concept through the FUT Draft, which would allow gamers to stack their teams by choosing one of five players in each position from the Ultimate Team database.

There will also be a new range of playable stadiums, the addition of women’s national teams, a fully authentic Bundesliga broadcast package, more than 450 new or updated player graphics, new weather conditions, and over 900 chants captured from real world stadiums.

Women players in game cover

For the first time in the popular football simulation video game series, the upcoming “FIFA 16” will have a female football player when it is released to the gaming platforms and the PC in September.

Alex Morgan, the forward of the USA women’s football team, has been chosen as one of the first women to feature on the front cover of football video game “FIFA 16.

Morgan is part of the of the USA women’s football team that defeated the Japanese team in the 2015 Women’s World Cup recently. She will appear alongside Barcelona and Argentina’s football star Lionel Messi in the American version of “FIFA 16.”

For the Canadian version of the football simulation video game, Canada women’s football team captain Christine Sinclair will be featured with Messi.

Morgan says that she feels honored to be one of the first women to be featured on the covers of EA Sports’ “FIFA 16.” The best paid player in women’s football said that she knows that a lot of people play the video game and she is really excited that “FIFA 16” is highlighting women’s soccer by featuring her and several others in the game cover.

It has recently been reported that the “FIFA” series has featured men’s teams since it was released in 1993. But the “FIFA 16” will now feature 12 international women’s teams including England, USA, Canada, and nine others.

Despite the awesome covers of “FIFA 16” when the game rolls out to the gaming platforms in September, not everyone was happy about it.

FIFA 16

Some of the gamers believe that women players become incompetent every time they had their periods. And that’s aside from the fact that women sometimes do get pregnant.

The game has become subject to the so-called “FIFA 16” women jokes because some believe that they don’t get to measure up to their male counterparts of the game.
