Batman: Arkham Knight DLC: New PC Mod Unlocks All Characters!

While some gamers are still waiting for Rocksteady to fix the PC version of “Batman: Arkham Knight”, after the game came out in a less than polished state, some have been messing around with the title’s data files and looking for interesting things they can do with it. There seems to be a lot of opportunity for exploring different new options through modification of some of the game’s data files, and some modders have already successfully released some interesting additions to the main game.

One of the best examples that we’ve seen recently is a mod specifically for the PC version of the game, which allows players to explore the city during the day, as well as another mod that unlocks many special characters. Some of those are normally not available in any way, so this is actually a pretty interesting modification that will likely get a lot of attention over the next few weeks.

At least for those who’re able to use it anyway, as the game was pulled from the shelves after the numerous issues with its PC port came to light. Warner Bros didn’t want to keep the negative remarks going for too long and they eventually made the difficult decision to stop selling the game until they’ve been able to address its problems. However, some people were still able to buy it before then – and some platforms selling the game have started to issue refunds to those who’re dissatisfied with their purchase.

Apart from the technical issues that were plaguing the game to an alarming extent, some players were disappointed with the variety of features available in the launch version of the title, claiming that the console ports were actually more entertaining in terms of features that they offered. Because of this, many have been hoping that the updated re-release of the PC port is going to come with some extra features to make up for the longer wait and the less than impressive initial launch.

The mod that unlocks special characters has been getting a lot of attention lately, and it seems to be quite well-designed in general. The author has put a lot of work into it, and it’s relatively bug-free – at least as much as the main game itself allows for – and it even comes with some special unexpected features. For example, players can actually load custom models for their character, playing as anyone they want, as long as the model has been properly rigged to be compatible with the game.

Meanwhile, Rocksteady have been hard at work fixing up the PC version of “Batman: Arkham Knight” and have been keeping their fans up to date with their current developments. According to the studio, a pre-release patch will make its way to PC gamers next month, which will include many of the fixes that will be featured in the final fixed version once it hits the market again.

We don’t know the full list of changes in the upcoming patch, but we do know that the game has plenty of bugs that need to be fixed, so it will probably be quite the large patch. It’s also good to see that the studio is releasing it before they bring the game itself back to the market, as this will allow them to ensure that it matches the expectations of fans and doesn’t introduce any new bugs that managed to slip through during the testing phase. It might also come with some extra content, but we don’t know anything about that yet.
