October came and went, but fans are still desperately awaiting the Apple iPod 6G. As already anticipated, the legendary music player did not receive an upgrade from the Cupertino legacy along with the iPhone 6 release.
Some people expected Apple to give a crazed surprise and launch the 6th generation of the iPod model, but we have a feeling that day is far from close. On October 16th, rumors were ablaze on the internet claiming that Apple would unveil the iPod 6G, but nothing like it happened. Die hard followers of the brand are still waiting for the newest installment to release.
Rumors suggest that Apple did not launch the iPod 6G along with the iWatch and iPhone because all these devices are still undergoing tests and releasing another Juggernaut into the market would only mean an added level of pressure that the company does not need at the moment. Apple is yet to recover from the Apple iPhone 6 Plus #bendgate phenomenon. Speculations have it that the iPod 6G might release somewhere in the first quarter of 2015.
There are discussions in the online community where techies are stating that Apple is currently immersed in the testing of iPod 6G, as the company is experimenting with the two different sizes just like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Another reason for the company to not launch a product at this time is the price attributes of the iPod. As we all know, the iPod is just a portable media player with a standard camera. This means that mobile carriers will not be able to interlink their services with it, thereby creating turmoil is the available pricing options for the device.
As is the tradition, the speculations will be unstoppable till Apple makes some noise in the media. People are looking for something more dynamic this time. They want to see what Apple can do, and what things they can inculcate in the device to make it all the more powerful than its older siblings.
We are pretty sure that along with a bunch of extended “unknown” features that Apple might incorporate, we will be seeing an extremely high resolution, retina display touchscreen with a huge storage space of something like 64 GB or 128 GB when the iPod 6G launches, next year. It will most obviously retain the Touch ID feature from the current flagship products of the brand as well.
Not only are we waiting for the iPod Touch 6G, but we are also looking forward to the launch of greater devices like the much awaited Apple TV and Mac Pro 2015. Do you think Apple is keeping a secret in the closet? Let us know what you feel about the iPod Touch 6G in the Comments Section below.
