Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were spotted in the past weekend sitting at the poolside of the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills, enjoying the LA summertime, and apparently showing some shades of their famous PDAs of yore.
In Touch Weekly actually described the pair as not really concerned about what the public would say, in what seems to be like the rekindling of their romance for the umpteenth time. Selena was even seen at one point sitting on Justin’s lap.
But before fans of Jelena start swooning all over the place and announced to the whole world that their music idols are back together again, a source close to the pair disclosed that Justin and Selena are not a couple, or not just yet.
The source added that the pair has not rekindled their romance, which they ended late last year. Accordingly, the two are now amicable exes and have become friends with each other, notes E! Online.
The same source disclosed that Selena does not want them to be a couple yet although they are no longer in bad terms compared to the early months after their latest breakup.
After their latest split, Selena was rumored to be romantically linked with DJ Zedd, but that turned out to be shortlived as reports came out later that she is still thinking about Justin even when she and Zedd are together.
From her daytime poolside chat with Justin, Selena was seen that same night along with some girlfriends proceeding to the Malibu mansion of actor Orlando Bloom, who was once romantically linked to her too.
But there is no rekindling of romance happening between the two either. They have apparently become good friends too, the way Selena is with Justin. That’s in addition to the fact that Orlando is now rumored to be dating Brazilian actress Luisa Morales.
Justin, on the other hand, has been linked to model Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin, whom the 21-year-old singer denied by saying that the two are just childhood friends. Early last month, however, Justin was spotted having a fun weekend with British model Jayde Pierce, prompting Selena to say that her former boyfriend has not changed one bit.
Holding the key
While fans of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have expressed their excitement over the prospect of the two celebrities getting back together again, it is actually the 22-year-old songstress who holds the key to the pair’s reunion.
Sources close to Selena believe that if the two music stars would reunite, the songstress would call the shots and decide if ever she wants that to happen again. It could be recalled that the cause of their split late last year was because of cheating allegations on Justin.
Just before they were seen hanging out again lately, Bieber was reportedly seen dating British model Jayde Pierce. So if she rekindles the romantic relationship and Justin has not yet reformed his old ways, then they are most likely headed towards the same direction again in the future.
Pushing for the reunion
While it has not even happen yet, the fans of Justin and Selena are going nuts over the prospect of their idols getting back together again.
This develops as Justin and Selena had an epic hangout session with friends late in May and the fan excitement that it subsequently created was all over social media.
One female fan posted on Twitter that having Justin and Selena on her snap story makes her the happiest person alive. Another fan posted that she does not care what people say but seeing Justin and Selena together give her immense happiness that she is actually crying about it.
