Just recently, it was officially confirmed that Jeremy Lin had signed a two-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets, and he’s set to start playing for the team during the upcoming 2015-2016 NBA season. Lin made the official announcement himself on his own Facebook page, where he said that his decision came after “a lot of prayer and long discussions with family and friends”. Lin is very Christian and he regularly makes statements like this one, as he’s not shy to reference his love for God in general.
He explained that it was very important for him to find a team that would be a good fit for him, and he wanted to be on a team where he would be able to play freely and actually play the game he knows and loves. And of course, the Charlotte Hornets seem like an obvious great fit for that, so we’re not surprised that he went with them as his final decision.
Lin was also thankful to Coach Steve Clifford, as well as the Hornets organization for giving him the opportunity to play with them. He was grateful for the time they’ve taken to talk to him, understand his game, and of course, making it clear that they believe in him. It looks like Lin’s relations with his new team are already starting off on a positive note, and we’re excited to see where his career will take him next.
Jeremy Lin is leaving the Los Angeles Lakers to go play for the Hornets, and he’s been with the Lakers for the whole last season. He is leaving on good terms, thanking his former teammates and the coaching staff, as well as the management of the team, expressing his gratitude for the support they’ve given him.
And now, Lin is looking forward to his new position, but has no idea what’s coming up in his career next. However, he wanted to reassure his fans that he will do everything in his power to contribute to the team’s victory, and he will improve as a player and a person. He seems very eager for his future, and we certainly share his enthusiasm to a large extent as well, and we’re interested to see what his next plans are.
Some of Lin’s fans have been curious about the exact details of the deal that he signed on, but we don’t know those yet – the deal hasn’t been made public, and it likely won’t be, at least for some time. The only thing that was said publicly was that the deal was worth a total of $4.3 million, and it’s for a two-year period.
Lin has a good history behind him in the sport, and he’s a player with a huge potential for a great development in the future, which is why he has been enjoying so much attention over the last few months. Many players want to see him doing the best that he can with his current potential, and of course the player has definitely been giving it his best when he’s out playing.
Now, he’s expected to back up Kemba Walker while playing for the Charlotte Hornets, and he’ll be running the second-team offense. The strategy might be readjusted until the next game, but most of the time these details find their way to the public in the form of rumors, so we’re likely going to hear at least something. If not, we’re definitely going to see how he plays during his first match.
