2016 Ford Bronco will Reportedly Replace the Outgoing Ford Raptor

After an uncharacteristic momentary lull in posting news and updates regarding the supposed 2016 Ford Bronco, the Facebook page of the vehicle carrying the name of 2016 Ford SVT Bronco is back with an update a little over two weeks ago.

The Facebook page has been regularly posting updates on the 2016 Ford Bronco since December last year through news feeds on the internet that usually comes with images of the upcoming truck with the trimmings of an SUV.

It can be remembered that the 2016 Ford Bronco rumors reportedly began as an April Fool’s Day joke on April 1, 2014, that was clearly blown out of proportion.

There have been countless reports and posts on the 2016 Ford SVT Bronco Facebook page, with some of them running in contrast to one another so it’s up to the readers actually to discern which are true and accurate, and which are not.

Perusing through the posts on its Facebook page, it can be gleaned that 2016 Ford SVT Bronco has began posting about the supposed vehicle beginning on December 6, 2014, all the way to April 1, 2015.

Subsequently, on April 2, 2015, a post was made on the Facebook page but it is no longer about the 2016 Ford Bronco but already about the 2017 Ford Bronco.

Since then, it can be noticed that the same Facebook page has no longer posted anything at all about the 2016 Ford Bronco until June 21 when it made another update on the vehicle in between reports on the 2017 Ford Bronco.

Ending the Raptor series

According to USA Torque News, the 2016 Ford Bronco will end or replace the outgoing Ford Raptor series.

Consistent with previous reports about the vehicle, the upcoming iteration of the iconic Bronco shall be build on the Ford Atlas platform using advanced materials to ensure that it will be lightweight while having that excellent durability and make it a reliable all-terrain vehicle.

The Ford F-150 was also built based on the Ford Atlas concept and platform so the upcoming Bronco will basically share similar features.

The new Bronco will reportedly by using aluminum and high-strength steel parts to make it resilient and light.

With all the specifications and features released about the 2016 Ford Bronco, one could not help but believe that the vehicle may indeed be real because it is just too impossible for someone to make all those things up.

While the latest report on the 2016 Ford Bronco is a welcome relief to those who has been longing for the vehicle to become a reality, the problem lies on the fact that Ford Motor Company has yet to make a statement or pronouncement since April 1, 2014 to either confirm or deny the existence of the 2016 Ford Bronco previously and now the 2017 Ford Bronco swirling in the internet.

Playing it safe

The Bronco Legend website is playing it safe by not claiming that the features and specifications that it published about the 2016 Ford Bronco came from leak source or sources but based on its own analysis and also on the previous Bronco models of Ford.

Accordingly, the new Ford Bronco should pick up where the last Bronco left off. It has been previously reported that the 2016 Ford Bronco will be based on the Ford Atlas Concept with an extended cabin instead of the flatbed at the rear end.
