After disappointing fans and gamers for its no-show at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 last month, game publisher Atlus of the upcoming role-playing game “Persona 5” has leaked, intentionally or otherwise, a full-length trailer of the game on YouTube.
The lengthy trailer features additional gameplay and enemies as well as an extended look on the game’s hero and his friends through some new cut scenes.
The leaked footage is actually the second trailer on “Persona 5” as the first was merely an intro to the protagonist and the game’s flashy look.
It seems like Atlus wanted to make up for its misgivings to the fans and gamers of the highly-anticipated video game. Apparently, hints and rumors of the impending release of “Persona 5” coming from its direction are now making the rounds on the internet.
August announcement, December launching
According to a report of Venture Capital Post, all indications point to Atlus making the announcement of game details next month. There have been previous reports that “Persona 5” will be launched in the winter of 2015, but no specific date has been mentioned.
If the history of Atlus in game launchings is to be the basis for “Persona 5,” then there is really no doubt that the game would finally be released in December 2015.
It has been a sort of tradition in the franchise that the release date of the game comes four months after its official announcement. So if the August announcement pushes through, the December launching is imminent.
Another factor being considered by critics is the game magazine that normally comes out on the month that the game is launched. Reports have it that the next Persona magazine will be unveiled in the month of December, and thus “Persona 5” will either come a few days after the magazine is released or simultaneously comes out with the publication.
There are also reports saying that “Persona 5” will simultaneously launch on the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita in December 2015 both in North America and Japan.
A big video game title
John Hardin, the PR manager of Atlus, says that “Persona 5” is one of their biggest game titles so they had to treat it with delicacy and care. He adds that they do not want the game to be spoiled given the magnitude of the title so when they said that they don’t have anything ready last month at the E3 2015, they really mean that they don’t have any.
Katsua Hashino, director of “Persona” series, says that they are just happy to see how fans and gamers are really quite excited about the game because it means that these people have been enjoying their work.
He admitted however that the expectations are also putting a great amount of pressure on the development team, but he promised gamers and fans that they will not be disappointed with “Persona 5,” details Crossmap.
“Persona 5” is basically about the adventure and growth of high school students, The game protagonist, who transferred to Shujin High School, will meet new friends as his new life will come with all types of events.
Game director Katsura Hashino has confirmed that “Persona 5” will have turn-based battles with minor tweaks in every game to make it more fun and enjoyable to gamers.
Each character will carry a distinct gun which will serve as his or her ranged weapon. The weapons are not real guns but can be used in battle even as the game will be set in randomly-generated areas.
“Persona 5” has also been rumored to have a very challenging gameplay that beginners would really find it difficult to play it when it’s released to the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4.
