While the second half of Season 5 of the dance competition reality show “Dance Moms” is still airing on the Lifetime channel, many are already talking about its future for next year. From the initial reports coming along, it seems that Season 6 is quite bleak, or so it now appears.
Not only are some of the fan-favorite girls in the competition like Maddie Ziegler and Nia Frazier Sioux having second thoughts about returning for next season, even host and dance instructor Abby Lee Miller is hinting that she will not be talking anything at all about Season 6 until the network settles its arrears to her.
And because of Abby Lee Millier’s rather surprising pronouncements lately, darling-of-the-crowd Maddie Ziegler was recently quoted in an interview that she will not be coming back for the sixth installment of “Dance Moms” if almost everybody is gone already, details Christian Today.
Coming from somebody who has plenty of options other than “Dance Moms,” there is now an obvious ambivalence among the rest of the contestants for Season 6 of the popular TV series on the Lifetime channel.

There have been rumors of late that another contestant is sure to be out of Season 6, if ever there would be one, because of the controversial argument between Abby Lee Miller and Kira Gerard, the mother of Kalani Hilliker
As she has gone head-to-head with the temperamental Abby Lee, many are expecting Kalani to say goodbye to the show soon enough or no longer be allowed to come back for Season 6.
But Kira debunked the rumors, saying that the recent spat between her and Abby is not something that will make them leave the show just like that. She disclosed that the fight she had with Abby is about the latter’s comment on her daughter’s weight which she did not take lightly.
When Abby refused to hug Kalani, that set Kira off in a verbal tirade, which was shown on the preview of “Dance Moms” Season 5.
More bad news
There have been reports early in June that the versatility and popularity of “Dance Moms” star Nia Frazier Sioux have gotten into her head. Nia and her mom Holly have taken the brunt of most of the anger of show star Abby Lee Miller over rumors that they are leaving “Dance Moms” soon.
Nia officially quashed the rumors about her and mom going separate ways with the American reality TV series and star Abby Lee Miller by posting on her Instagram recently that she is committed to being with “Dance Moms.”
Subsequently it was the turn of the talented Maddie Ziegler to say that she is already weighing her options whether she would be back or not for Season 6 of “Dance Moms.”
Her stint with “Dance Moms” and also her learning and exposure from Abby Lee Dance Club (ALDC) has earned for Maddie several major gigs including appearing in the music videos of Sia, performing at the Grammys, appearing soon in another TV series “Pretty Little Liars,” and a rumored stint in Broadway soon.
The 12-year-old Ziegler, who appeared in Sia’s music videos “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart” revealed in a recent interview that she may or may not return for Season 6 of “Dance Moms.”
She said that she is actually not sure of what’s going to happen for Season 6 of the dancing contest reality show. Ziegler did not mention any conditions that she may have set for her possible return to the show for the sixth season.
The issue is further confounded by Abby Lee Miller herself when she said that the network owes her money and that unless Lifetime settles its arrears with her, it will be the only time that she will talk with them about Season 6.
The problem according to Abby Lee is the fact Lifetime network is delayed on their payment plan to her and it seems that the arrears have grown significant as of late.
Dance moms needs to be canceled and of course Abby is returning she has no other place to go. She is nothing without the show and Lifetime is shameful enough that is the only network that will allow her behavior to be aired. Maddie and Melissa of course they are sticking with Abby after all Abby rigged the entire show to favor Maddie. The rest of the crew are just puppets. Since Chole Luksaiak left the show is not even one third of what it was when Chole was on the show. She was and still is the fan favorite. If Lifetime wants to have ratings and viewers again give Chole Lukasiak a show and watch viewers tune in. If anyone wants to write an article about a talented dancer that is making a positive impact on people watch Chole Lukasiak dance videos and write about Chole Lukasiak.
I fully agree, I think that Maddie is a great little dancer but Chloe is a more rounded dancer. Maddie never has to deal with criticism and Chloe has been put through the ringer and still an amazing dancer! I would love to see her have her own show! and I’d love to see Melissa and abby held responsible for all the child abuse that they inflict, abby on all the kids and Melissa on her own children. shame on them
I think maddie need to stop being mean to Mackenzie and be happy .That is your sister. Im saying good im glad maddie is leaving i just wish Mackenzie can stay.And you know what Melissa you wrong to favor your kids u can say on TV f you but I do not care kiss it. And you know what Mackenzie I think you are a great im your number 1 fan .And you Abby lee I like your teaching because you are trying to make those kids be tough because in the world is worst so yeah should thank Abby.
I agree I would love to see a show with Chloe at her new studio. I would also enjoy to see Brooke and Paige being taught by someone else. It would be interesting to see the growth. Also I would like to see these girls dancing with a smile like we now see with Chloe.
Thank god Maddie is leaving. Maddie is too big and popular and certainly is abve dance moms now. But I was glad when Chloe and her wretched mother left

Maddie will continue to be successful without this show. Dance Moms sucks. Maddie slays no matter what. The show will go down hill, if Maddie leaves. Hardly anyone would watch.
I really like dance moms. I don’t like the way the mothers act i was thrilled when when Christi and Kelly left. They were the ones who started the downfall of the show. Maddie will be fine with or without the show. She is an amazing talent. I can’t stand the way the mothers act. Get rid of the mothers and the show will rise again

I agree with you about Abby. I took dance from 4 years old through 8th grade ,from a Russian instructor. She did not yell as much as Abby,but had a walking stick that struck the floor to beat of music and a drum she beat on ,as the moment of criticism grew.We were great dancers and well schooled in acrobatics,ballet,point,and every class began with review of basics. This is what Abby is missing.!
What mother in real life would ever allow a teacher of any kind to talk and treat their child the way Abby Miller does. It really is child abuse and the shows producers should be ashamed they let it happen. I think she has some serious mental issues going on.
I totally agree with you. I love this show and I think Abby is great. She has been extremely successful without the show and with so she will continue either way. Maddie is getting older and her whole point of the show was to make it famous she has done that so she is kinda done. I also hate all the moms I wish Abby would just tell them all they have to just drop the kids off and then they have to leave. I am glad to hear the show has been renewed no word on which dancers are staying though
Lifetime should change the show from “dance moms” to “dance kids”. Those moms are not a good example to the mothers out there who watch the show but the kids are good example to other kids.

please tell me you people don’t believe the fighting among moms and Abby is real on Dance Moms. It’s all scripted and suggested by the producers. My daughters are friends with many of the dancers at ALDC and they all laugh about it all the time. The moms are all great friends with each other as well as Abby. That includes Holly and Kira. Even Cathy of Candy Apples is good friends with Abby. So there you have the real inside scoop.
The season 6 grumblings is over money now. Everyone wants a raise. Abby holding out for the biggest one. She knows if there is no Abby, there is no show. We will see what unfolds over the next few months.

I ‘m not sure I’m watching the same show as Jeannie, Christi & Kelly started the downfall….take another look, Abby is the b..ch and is poison the only reason the girls are staying is because of a contract..Abby is so disrespectful and Maddie is not so great, her mom is looking at her for $$$$, and not caring about Kenzie.
Frankly I watch only to see the girls dance. I detest Abby and the mothers. I would never allow my child to be around someone like Abby Miller. She is one of the worst humans ever. My niece took dancing lessons from the age of 2 1/2 until she left for college and was never exposed to such a monster and Miller. I truly find it abominable that the mothers would even consider having their children exposed to such horrific behavior. But then stage moms are the worst there is. Kendall is a pretty girl but not star material vocal wise. Makenzie is cute but no singer. Maddie seemingly does the same thing over and over. No change in facial expressions. Her success is wonderful but as with most child stars once the awkward growing stage kicks in her career will more than likely be over. Hopefully her mother is socking her money away. It is obvious Abby detests JoJo, Nia and Kalani and it is sad as they are talented in their own ways although I also forsee JoJo not doing much future wise unless her mother gets rid of the bows and finds her a serious teacher who will direct her in using her high energy. Kalani is gorgeous and I would love to see her become a dancer on stage. Nia dances well too but she is hitting the awkward stage and she too could improve with someone who truly wants to help her career wise. Abby cares about Abby and I have an idea she has an iron clad contract with Melissa’s kids.
Maddie stands out as a dancer, no getting away from that. However, the last series was stupid the way Holly carried on! Shouting over all the others, even at the reunion show, is she menopausal, certainly seems so. It seems anyone who doesn’t agree with her is in the wrong. She is alienated herself and Nia, very reminiscence of Christi and Chloe.
