As for Season 2, it is still unknown if Merrick will find Cabe who is taking a job as a Hollywood tech advisor. So far, it is still unknown if Merrick would go back and replace Alana.

This has been an awkward and a romantic scene for the two. Since the two started, they  have been battling their roles as intellectuals and peers. They have encountered a couple of scenarios where they could have gotten the chance to be honest with each other, but something has always been in the way. So, in one way, Walter’s cliff-hanging experience has not been for naught. Or was it?
