Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to Follow the Design Footsteps of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge

Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the upcoming phablet of the Korean tech giant and the fifth generation Galaxy Note, will reportedly follow the design footsteps of the current flagship smartphones of the company, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Apparently, Samsung will be featuring some big changes on the phablet from the Galaxy Note 4 when it hits the market in September this year. And just like the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, the Galaxy Note 5 will have a new design language that shall feature metal and glass, notes Gotta Be Mobile.

The Galaxy Note 5 shall also feature a sleek design with wireless charging but no expandable storage and a non-removal battery just like the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.

However, one of its new features will be its capability to support the new USB-C standard that shall bring with it a reversible charging port and quicker data transfer.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 shall reportedly feature a 5.98-inch 2K display, a 4,100 mAH battery, a new Exynos 7422 processor and an upgraded S Pen stylus.

As the US has been the biggest market for the Galaxy Note 4 when it was launched on September 4 last year during the IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung) 2014 in Berlin, Germany, the Americans are among the millions of consumers that are looking forward to the official launching of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

IFA is an annual consumer electronics and tech show that is the arguably the biggest in Europe. The event is the spiritual home of the Samsung Galaxy Note as all the models from the first generation up to the fourth generation were all launched in the IFA.

Thus, it is almost sure that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will also be launched in the upcoming IFA 2015 slated on September 4 to 9 in Berlin, Germany.

While there have been rumors also that the latest Samsung phablet will be launched in August this year, the Korean tech giant would simply not forego its worthy tradition of launching a Galaxy Note device on the IFA which it began since 2011.

The same launching month as the Apple iPhones

As much as it has been a near-tradition for Samsung to launch its flagship phablet in September, it has also become an annual schedule for Apple to launch its latest iPhones in the same month as well.

It is not basically competing launchings as Samsung is launching a phablet while Apple is launching a smartphone.

One feature that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will have that still does not exist on other Samsung smartphones and phablets is the Samsung Pay. It was earlier reported that the Samsung Pay will arrive in July after the launching of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge but the Korean company decided to defer it.

As everyone already knows by now, the Samsung Pay is the Korean tech giant’s answer to the Apple Pay, which is also a mobile payment system.

US carriers preparing for Galaxy Note 5

Because the Galaxy Note 4 has been big among the Americans, a number of US carriers are reportedly laying down the groundwork for possibly carrying the Galaxy Note 5 after it is officially launched.
