Rumors That Flight MH370 Crashed on Maldives Denied by Air Authority Chairman!

The mystery around flight MH370 continues, and it’s starting to seem less and less likely that we’ll find out the truth at this point. It’s one of the more peculiar incidents of our modern times, and many people continue to be amazed at how an entire modern aircraft can just disappear without a trace and never be found. On the other hand, some people are claiming that the incident has worked very well to open their eyes to the sheer scale of our world and the amount of unexplored territory under the ocean.

Recently, we’ve been hearing some rumors that the flight might have actually crashed on land and not in the middle of the ocean, as it was claimed that it was flying over the Maldives when it went down. However, Ibrahim Faizal, chairman of the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority, came out with a statement claiming that the country has no information about the airplane and it has never crashed on their territory.

However, he also wanted to deepen the investigation into alleged reports from eyewitnesses who claimed to have seen the plane going down, even though initial contact with the witnesses turned out unproductive. According to Faizal, there might be more to their story than what was initially believed, and he wanted to get in touch with them for further investigation.

He added that he wasn’t very happy with how the initial review went through, and apparently saw some problems with the way it was carried out. However, he also stated his doubts over whether what the people saw could have been the missing MH370 flight or not. According to him, a fire extinguisher that was found in the area and was seen as a major piece of evidence was actually not from any aircraft at all, let alone the type of plane that went missing.

Faizal concluded that the flight which was observed by the group of people was likely the Island Aviation Bombardier Dash 8, and not MH370. Witnesses, however, said that they clearly saw blue and red markings on the side of the airplane, and the passing was accompanied by loud noise. Police were alerted at the time of the incident.

Flight MH370

The sighting that is still being investigated happened around 2000 miles from Kuala Lumpur where the plane originally took off on March 8 before disappearing without a trace. While the theory is plausible and hasn’t been debunked, it also doesn’t come with enough evidence for anyone to draw a solid conclusion.
