Lead star Rachel Bilson of the American comedy drama TV series “Hart of Dixie” has not yet spoken publicly about her sentiments for the decision of The CW network to cancel the show for its Season 5, giving some fans of the series the notion that the actress does not care at all.
Apparently, it’s not the case as Rachel is currently busy personally rearing up her new baby girl Briar Rose with long-time boyfriend Hayden Christensen and she can’t get enough of her motherly chores that she was not able to focus on making her official statement about the decision to cancel the very popular show.
It has been all about Briar Rose for Rachel as of late. Even her Instagram account is full of photos of her daughter and her stuff. She has recently posted on Instagram Briar Rose’s clothes, accessories, and toys. One other photo shows her and Briar Rose’s matching ‘Star Wars’ Vans shoes. In a different photo, it showed the actress cuddling with her daughter’s stuffed toy, details Yibada.
But Rachel did spoke previously about the cancellation of “Hart of Dixie” just weeks after it was axed by The CW network. She said then that situation has been tricky for her and the entire cast as well. She also hit the rumors and speculations that “Hart of Dixie” was cancelled because of poor ratings. On the contrary, the show was actually faring very well in the ratings game.
Ratings is not the reason
Despite posting an average of 1.5 million number of viewers for its entire Season 4, it was not enough to convince The CW network to renew the American comedy drama TV series “Hart of Dixie” for a fifth season.
During its fourth season, “Hart of Dixie” averaged a 0.6 rating in adults between the ages from 18 to 49 and a higher 0.9 rating among women from 18 to 34 years old.
The 1.5 million average viewership of “Hart of Dixie” Season 4, was a relatively small dip compared to its peak season which was Season 1, where the show averaged 1.8 million viewers.
While there have been previous reports saying that it was due to the departure of lead star Rachel Bilson and her unavailability to do Season 5 that the network decided to cancel the show. But now it appears that even during the filming for Season 4 sometime late last year, the cast and crew of “Hart of Dixie” already knew that it is to be the final season of the show.
Going all the way to Season 17
But if creator Leila Gerstein only had her way, there would have been a fifth season of “Hart of Dixie,” which could even go up to Season 17.
Unfortunately, Gerstein did not have her way so when The CW officially cancelled the show a few weeks after the series finale of Season 4 aired on March 27, everything was a wrap for the well-loved “Hart of Dixie.”
Ehy not say she haven’t said anything about the show. She is nasty person not to say anything. Josh gave her that show. Do she think Hayden going to give a movie? No one is talking to her at all. She can go to paris
