By monitoring the extent of success and popularity enjoyed by The Expendables 3, it was just a matter of time before Sylvester Stallone poped the question about The Expendables 4. The movie is expected to be a one-of-a-kind action thriller and will play its part in solidifying the franchise’s roots among the fan base.
Sly has confirmed The Expendables 4 for release, although, fans have gone a step further to speculate an approximate release date as well. As official confirmations are hard to come by at this stage, numerous speculations and rumors are doing the rounds.
Sly is speculated to be drawing in the big names from Hollywood into the project, and he is looking for regional superstars too. Jackie Chan is likely to be offered a prominent role after he refused The Expendables three as he was allotted an unimportant character.
Some of the known faces that could appear in The Expendables 4 include Mark Wahlberg – whose Ted 2 is currently in the post-production stages, meaning that he is available for a new project – and Liam Neeson. Let’s face it! It will be great to watch our very own Taken star in an Expendable avatar.
However, with talks of Taken 3 being released sometime in the near future, we are not sure if Liam Neeson is available for The Expendables 4. It would be fun to catch him in action with the team of mercenaries, nonetheless.
Kevin Costner is speculated to be included in the cast and considering his expertise in this field, he will be an invaluable addition to the cast. Additional information on The Expendables 4 is likely once Sly confirms his plans. However, this could be a little while off as the movie is yet to be formulated.
A report by Kdramastarz states that Sly is looking to rope in Keanu Reaves and Tom Cruise for prominent roles too and this is likely at the moment, considering the “badass” reputation these actors have earned, following their characterizations in The Matrix, Speed and Mission Impossible Series respectively.
It has been a long time since Keanu Reaves has starred in an action flick and fans are hoping to catch him in action in The Expendables 4. Tom and Keanu have prior expertise in the action genre and hence, it should not be very difficult for them to blend in with the cast.
Hugh Jackman and Denzel Washington have also been rumored to be given prominent roles, which promises hardcore action in The Expendables 4. The franchise is already popular around the globe and with the introduction of these new faces, and the producers are hoping to attain success like never before.

i think liam neeson wont happen i luv the guy but hes more of a dramatic guy than an action guy keanu reeves i think will b gr8 i loved him in point break and matrix jackie chan will b gr8 aswell tom cruise i haven’t seen many of his movies but im sure hed b good im not bothered if kevin costner appears or not im not a fan of him i havent seen any of his movies as 4 mark whalberg luv the guy but dont think hes suited for the expendables hes a bit 2 good 4 that as 4 hugh jackman and denzel washington i luv those guys they definitely should b in the expendables they’ll do gr8 alongside already confirmed action stars hulk hogan, MR T, dwayne johnson and pierce brosnan i just hope steven seagal gets in this time fingers x i also think carl weathers should join the franchise cause hes the only 1 left from slys rocky catalouge
I think sly wants the expendables franchise to take the number one seed in the box office over, like be at the top on its A game, and in order for that he need some big names, one big superstar to help put the expendables at the top for weeks, and dwyane johnson is the number one guy i can think of that will take the franchise to the limit. I like sly alot, rocky iv is my favorite movie of all times, and it seems like sly wants to be the main event in the expendables franchise, and it may sound crazy but sly versus dwyane johnson would sell, and besides making the fight scene 1 min and 45 secs like mel gibson in the expendables 3 or Jean Claude Van Damme In the expendables 2, make it a fight longer than that, im not saying no 12 round boxing match, but actually make the fight worth seeing like he did with stone cold steve austin in the expendables. Other actors that would help put the movie to the top, dave bautista as dwyane johnson right hand man, terry crews a big guy and has yet went head to head with somebody, instead of him being just a shoot em up guy he could be a brawler type guy, im talking a huge blockbuster, terry crews head to head with bautista would be epic, keanu reeves vs jason stratham would be worth watching, martial arts with martial arts. Where im getting at is, if i came up with the expendables brand and i bring in all these big names to go toe to toe, i would want the fight to be epic between them all, a blockbuster, something worth spending 8 dollars on at the movies without thinking is it worth it. If i drop the trailer, and its good, bet your ass the whole dam movie will be good…
sylvester stallone is the biggest superstar of the world, whatever he do it will be the biggest thing on earth.
am very happy you come up with this movie and also include all de superstar in it. I can’t wait to watch the expendable 4 bt I want you to add Jack Chan if possible and also the action should be more because in the expendable 3 the action was not all that much. so please we need more action in the expendable 4 and more of the superstar whom it has been years that we have not seen them acting. thank you
The last one was terrible this one will be the same the only good one was 2nd one all because of van damme. Stallone os to old he looks odd with all these with him. How hes an action legend is beyond me hes only done a few.
If all the new actors above will be joining the Expendables 4, I will not miss it for the world! This Movie will me FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!

I very very very much like the EXPENDABLES film. I think dis time EXPENDABLES 4 will earn the highest in the box office. I really love da film. By the way sly is 1 of my favorite star. I wish all the best 4 da upcoming film.
Bring the ones back in the Expendables 4 and bring new people in the Expendables 4 like Dwayne Johnson and Jackie Chan
I like Sylvester Stallone in The Expendables 3. I want him back in The Expendables 4 and Jason Statham as well. I want to see The Expendables 4 when they make the movie. I want to know when it will be coming out for now.
