If negotiations work out well between executive producer Sylvester Stallone and wrestling great Hulk Hogan, the Hulkster would play the main bad guy for the upcoming “The Expendables 4.”
While no detail on “The Expendables 4” movie has been made available as of yet, Hulk Hogan confirmed in an interview last month that he has been in casual talks lately with Stallone where they discussed the possibility of him appearing as the villain in the fourth instalment of the action film franchise, cites the A.V. Club.
Assuming that the deal is agreed upon, Hogan will be the second wrestler to play villain in “The Expendables” movie franchise following Stone Cold Steve Austin, who teamed up with Eric Roberts to give Stallone, Jason Statham and company fits in “The Expendables” shown in 2010.
Hulk Hogan will also be lined up with the big name action stars that previously played villains in subsequent “The Expendables” movies including Jean Claude Van Damme and Mel Gibson.
History of working together
Hulk Hogan and Sylvester Stallone have a history of working together. They first collaborated during the filming of “Rocky III” back in 1982.
The wresting great actually disclosed about the initial talks that he recently had with Stallone during an interview while he was attending the annual Body Power Expo held in the UK last month.
He further revealed that he is being primed up to play the most evil man in the world and would thus become the next target of the mercenary group’s ire, guns and rockets too.
The Hulksters has had his fair share of Hollywood movies and he has been hinting for years that a ‘hulked-up’ “Te Expendables” sequel is what the franchise fans deserve, a comment that did not escape the attention of Sylvester Stallone who has also seen the potentials.
But at the ripe age of 61, Hulk Hogan says he is not sure if his body can still keep up with the action scenes that would be required of him in the movie, if ever, but he did acknowledge that maybe the producers could find a good stunt man to help him out in those scenes.
Surely, Hulk Hogan joining “The Expendables 4” movie would be most welcome to action movie fans as well as to the throngs of supporters of the Hulksters from the WWE ever since he broke ground in wrestling more than three decades ago.
Manny Pacquiao too
As early as November last year, when Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger personally visited Manny Pacquiao in his dressing room in Macau, China before his fight with American Chris Algieri, reports have been circulating wildly that the Filipino boxing icon is being considered for a role in “The Expendables 4.”
Pacquiao, after all, is a bit actor in the Philippines and can sure do some acting on a Hollywood movie if he chooses to.
It was clear then that Sylvester Stallone, who was the lead star and co-screenplay writer on all of the three “The Expendables” films, is already looking at giving the fourth installment of the ensemble action movie series a great possibility.
