The sixth installment to the Xbox-exclusive car-racing video game “Forza Motorsport” will have something new to offer to gamers that have never been seen before – wet weather racing.
Game developer Turn 10 Studios confirmed the new feature of the upcoming “Forza Motorsport 6” during the recently-concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 held in Los Angeles, California.
The development team at Turn 10 reportedly went to rain-drenched Nurburgring race track in Germany and several other tracks to recreate every single puddle they found, which means that gamers will be virtually driving through real puddles when they play the game, details Games Radar.
The sixth iteration of the popular and critically acclaimed series of racing video games shall be running at 1080-pixel and 60 frames per second when it hits the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One on September 15.
Based on its recently released trailer, “Forza Motorsport 6” really looks great which would be more than enough to give “Project CARS” a run for its money in the battle for the best racing video game on Xbox.
The racing game franchise is Microsoft’s answer to “Gran Turismo” on the PlayStation gaming systems so “Forza Motorsport 6” is expected to compete head on with the upcoming “Gran Turismo 7” which is a PlayStation exclusive.
No microtransaction
Another good news for gamers for the upcoming “Forza Motorsport 6” is that the game will not feature any microtransaction, meaning there would be no portion or feature of the game which would be released later on as DLC or part of a DLC pack.
Bill Giese, executive producer of Turn 10 Studios, said that “Forza Motorsport 6” will be boxed for its retail release and everything will be made available upon purchase.
Gamers greatly recall that “Forza Motorsport 5” was also a full retail release but it had subsequent microtransactions. Turn 10 said that it is not going to happen with “Forza Motorsport 6.”
Giese detailed that all the 450 cars that are part of “Forza Motorsport 6” will be available upon launch of the game and nothing will be locked in any DLC. He reiterated that everything about “Forza Motorsport 6” is tuned for no tokens at launch.
Such good news certainly had gamers of “Forza Motorsport 6” thrilled almost to no end and most of them can hardly wait for the release of the game barely three months from now.
A Microsoft-Ford collaboration
“Forza Motorsport 6” was officially announced during the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan on January 12, 2015. The announcement was made on the same day that Ford Motor Company unveiled the latest iteration to its Ford GT supercar along with a broader line of high-performance vehicles.
