Mortal Kombat X Rumored Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 by the End of the Month!

The release of “Mortal Kombat X” for modern systems has been quite successful, with the game generating a lot of hype and attention to the franchise, and some players even saw their interest in older installments get revived. It’s true that the game’s developers have done a lot of work on this title to make it as good as it is, but one issue was still left hanging – availability on last-gen consoles. We knew it was coming, but not when exactly – the several delays didn’t really help.

Some recent reports actually gave some disappointing news and gave fans the impression that they may have to wait until the end of the year to see the game on the PS3 and Xbox 360, but according to the most recent rumors, that’s likely not true. The game’s developers have been hard at work on the last-gen port, and are reportedly preparing to release it by the end of this month.

That could be a very nice treat to the franchise’s fans, as there are apparently still lots of players running an older console who would like to join the fun. So far, they’ve had to resort to watching gameplay videos online, but soon enough they will be able to take part in the fights themselves.

At the same time, those playing on modern systems are about to get a treat of their own, as it’s been announced that Predator is about to join the game’s character roster, adding to an already impressive list of fighters available to players.

He’ll be joining the battle together with Jason, Liu Kang and Kung Lao, and they will all be introduced to the game via the “Prey Pack”, but some details about the new gameplay additions are still missing. For example, we know nothing about how Predator is going to fight in the new game and what his special skills will be, although players have certainly been speculating about him quite a lot.

The character is a favorite among some fans who have been hopeful that they will get to see his trademark moves, like his cloaking ability or his plasma blaster, but so far there has been no confirmation about any of those by the game’s developers. It would be a bit strange if they ended up cutting out important parts of his gameplay style however, so we would be surprised if he doesn’t share a lot with the original Scorpion. In general, “Mortal Kombat X” has done a great job preserving the original styles of all characters.
