The official word is out. There is no official news about a Fallout 4 release date. Bethesda Softworks’ game director Todd Howard had said in an interview on February that there are no dates yet, and it is going to be a while until Fallout 4 is released.
Fans of Fallout were terribly heart-broken after there was no news of Fallout 4 at E3. The Vice President of Bethesda, Pete Hines also said on Twitter that no one should believe any information on the internet until and unless it comes from an official source. This put an end to rumours of Fallout 4 doing the rounds on YouTube and other websites.
Fans are hopeful that Fallout 4 is on the cards because Bethesda had got the name ‘Fallout 4’ trademarked from the European Union last year. The last edition, Fallout: New Vegas released in 2010 and Fallout 3 released in 2008. Fallout 4 will be available on a huge range of consoles no matter when it releases, from the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 to the Windows PC.
Fallout is a post-apocalypse action role game set in the future. The game series is based on the 1950s popular science fictions. The game is set in a retrospective environment of the 22nd and 23rd centuries. The game features a world that had stopped in the 1950s and finds itself in a dystopian post-apocalyptic reality. A major inspiration for the graphic designers and artists of Fallout was the post-war culture of America in the 1950s.
There are rumours that the action in the upcoming Fallout 4 will occur in Boston. There are likely to be Androids at work. The nuclear catastrophe has wiped away the whole of the world except some parts of Boston. Boston has been considered the most advanced industrial city in the world, in the Fallout series, and the action of Fallout 4 is expected to take place there.
There has been a rumour that Bethesda will announce Fallout 4 for 2015 or 2016 in the PAX East event in August, but there were no such announcements. There is news that in the Bethesda Fallout forum, a user had enquired of there was any chance of a download code beta in Fallout 4. A Bethesda representative had asked the user to wait patiently till some more information can be given on that issue. This has excited the fans of Fallout, as Bethesda is likely to be working on Fallout 4.
Given the massive popularity of Fallout 1, 2, 3, it’s been a long wait for the fans, given that Fallout 4 came out in 2008.
