Tanya has made her return to the “Mortal Kombat” platform this month and this was confirmed when series creator Ed Boon announced on Twitter that the new “Kombat Pack” DLC update will include one of the fighting video game’s favorite characters.
Tanya is the third character to be introduced in the “Mortal Kombat X” fighting roster following Goto and Jason Voorhees from the “Friday the 13th”movie series.
Tanya’s femme fatale finishers were previewed last month when the latest patch was released that already had Jason Voorhees. The patch was immediately available for download on the PlayStation 4 but developer NetherRealm has yet to announce on when the DLC will be available on the Xbox One and the PC.
Tanya is a slender, gloomy woman from Edenia and was initially introduced as an innocent character. But she was then corrupted by the evil Shinnok, an ally to the Brotherhood of Shadow. When Shinnok was defeated, she found another master, Shao Kahn. She also served other evil masters like Onaga and the Deadly Alliance.
Tanya is a proud character who sees herself as a survivor and although she sided with evil, she believes that she has made the right decisions. Tanya is a powerful character who has superiority in magic.
Special Tanya signature moves
Tanya, being a powerful magician, has a lot of signature moves and finishers. Her Human Cannon Drill is achieved by spinning a cork-screw with her flaming feet towards the opponent. In “Mortal Kombat X,” this move is called the Low Spin Kick while the advanced version of this move is the Low Drill Kick where she uses an armor and hit the opponent multiple times until he is fired up into the air.
She also has the ability to use the Dark Shroud where she covers her opponent with purple magic. If this is combined with the Fireball attack, the opponent will experience increased damage.
Tanya can also use manipulation to her advantage as she has a move called Kiss of Deceit where she plants a kiss on the cheek of her enemy, the enemy’s torso, limbs and head, those parts will twist so much the opponent will just explode.
She also has the Edenian Drill where she climbs to her opponent’s back while holding on the opponent’s shoulders. She will then use her feet to crack the opponent’s spine. She will also use her feet to thrust her opponent up until it opens the enemy’s chest. She will land with an evil expression as she holds the opponent’s heart in her hands. The opponent’s body will dramatically land in pieces behind her.
Tanya is one only two female characters in “Mortal Kombat” that has the ability to be invisible with Khameleon being the other one.
