Pirates of the Caribbean 5 Filming Continues in Australia, Johnny Depp Returns!

Johnny Depp is now back in Australia to continue the filming of “Pirates of the Caribbean 5”, and we’ve heard new rumors that we’re going to see the iconic character in the ship that he was originally introduced in when the franchise started. It looks like there might be some other throwbacks to the older installments in the franchise in this film as well, rumors that were received very positively by fans.

The ship is a single-mast one, and is supposedly the old Rainbow Gypsy, and has just docked at the Raby Bay Harbor in Cleveland, Australia, where the crew of the film is currently shooting their next scenes. We’ve seen reports that this is the exact same ship that we saw sinking when Jack Sparrow landed on shore in a boat in the first movie, and it’s apparently going to play a “lead role” in the film.

While this wouldn’t be the first time an inanimate object has been given an actual “role” in a film, it’s still a somewhat interesting development for this particular franchise, but we don’t know how exactly they plan on using the ship. It’s possible that they could use it to film a scene with Johnny Depp at Raby Bay, as the actor was recently walking around the location wearing his costume from the new film.

He also took the time to meet and greet his fans and spent a while chatting with them, and in the end he admitted he loved Australia, or at least the state of Queensland in particular. And for what it’s worth, his fans have been delighted to have him around as well, as his presence managed to generate a lot of discussion online, with many fans excitedly sharing their experiences with the star and talking about how they had met him.

Soon, Depp might film scenes with Orlando Bloom who is coming back for his role as Will Turner. Bloom has recently been spotted in Australia himself, reading a copy of the script in a coffee shop. A risky move, as he could have easily leaked parts of it if he wasn’t careful, but considering we haven’t seen any such leaks so far, he likely knew what he was doing.

He was actually reportedly stopping by the same coffee shop twice a day, and he’s been taking his son along as well, playing with him before continuing to read the script as a nanny was taking care of the boy afterwards. All in all, it looks like Bloom is doing a great job balancing his private life with his career.
